The point was that it's not the traditional style ladder frame scale rig henceforth it will have different characteristics.

| I have had problems with this too. I had a TCS X-trail chassis and a clodbuster body and was told "Thats not a scaler , its a basher." Only because it didn't have a c-channel chassis. I just want to know what this one is going to be considered as. A scaler , comp rig , basher or all of the above.

| 1. CKRC has worked closely with Axial before. 2. Jake's 1:1 is wrapped with Axial vinyl. 3. Jake built a replica of it. 4. This is a replica of his replica. 5. Said replica was seen at KOH 6. Jake was at KOH. |

But if Skeeno's thoughts dont help you. Lets just agree that this is a cool truck and a class 3 truck in the scale comp. for those of you that want this, want that. there is no such thing as buying a perfect built truck with no need to upgrade otherwise we all would own one., INCLUDING, Under $350.00 And finally, who cares, either you like it and will buy it, or you dont and wont. Again, Thank you Axial for putting out yet another cool truck. |

| NO its a tubed out rock buggy. Plenty of "scale" builds floating around that go off the same concept.

Can't wait for more details to come out! So much aftermarket for axial already this truck can't be anything but a hit. I was just a couple days from ordering a scx10 but will wait now to find out more on this. One other poster said something about how cool a 2 speed tranny would be. That would be over the top! I can wait for april or may for this bad boy. Scale AND comp worthy from the looks.

People, my point was in is not a scaler in the traditional sense with a ladder style frame rail chassis and based off of a production model henceforth it will not be built or designed in the same way. The KOH type rigs (or rock buggy whatever you want to call it) are purpose built 1 off vehicles. This was simply to address the comments about the axle widths. Some of you just want to argue, get over it. Is it scale, yes, but there is a difference.

I'll agree that this is a very cool truck Mr Norm. Axial has proven itself over and over again to be a innovator. Every release of a Axial RC Crawling product (going back to the AX-10, the first crawler in a box) has had a major impact on this hobby, this will be no different. It's release will be enthusiastically received and bring new people to the hobby there is no question about it. They are the little giant that could and has delivered time and time again. Where's the Buy It Now button? |

Im hoping with the relese of this truck other companies provide us with compitition. Traxxas is well known for being at KOH TTC events. they flopped with the summit but could be brewing something up.. It seems to be a one company hobby AXAIL, although i have nothing agains them id like to see somebody else come out with something along the lines of this. |

I can see a comp base for these trucks. A track with a fast straight away and in the turns having technical rocks maybe some inbetween that triples or doubles also. Think short couse meets craling. A good way to take back some of the steam that SC took away from crawling. It would be a hell of a fun time.

The King of the Hammer’s is an off-road race in the desert of Johnson Valley, CA and is arguably the Toughest desert race in the world. The course is incredibly difficult, in fact less than 50% of the entrants finish the race! This race integrates open desert racing with the worlds toughest Hammers rock trails! The 6-day event is held on Means Dry Lake bed and will be attended by a “who's-who” in off-road speed racers and rock crawling competitors. In addition, every print magazine in the industry, and filmed from the ground and helicopter for a DVD and television. Last year 2009 35,000 people watched the race in person and countless more via live internet updates on pirate4x4.com. Ohh and BTW, I have heard from a pretty decent source that Traxxas is in the process of making a KOH truck as well. Interesting when you here this, but their involvement with competition racing has been pretty energized in the last 2 years. But in all honesty everyone has to give it up for Axial and what they have done in the few short years of RC, They have managed against all odds to continue to bring Crawling again and again with something new, upgraded, or consistent. Not many other companies have done such a thing without being in the game a very long time. Last edited by team3six; 02-20-2011 at 11:44 AM.
