First off, the new wheels look absolutely amazing!!! Leave it to VP to blow it wide open. AWESOME! BUT...I have one question/critique. Why are wheels (1.55, 1.9s, 2.2s) so narrow? I just got a set of locked up wheels today, I have rc4wds, even have some stamped 1.55s. They all are so much narrower than the tires that they suck the sidewalls in way too much for my liking. I would think that they all should be at least 1/4 inch wider. On a 1:1 the wheels are just shy of the outside of the tire. I may get flamed here, but it's really bugging me! Here's a link to some swampers (well, LTBs) Please let me know what I'm missing, and again, VP....you are truly the hobby's ultimate aftermarket parts source.

Tires are known to preform better with the narrow wheel and you also get an increase in height with the narrow wheel.

Most 1:1 have wide wheels because of the locks or they got a good deal. I myself run a narrow wheel in my 1:1 as they tend to hold the bead better when aired down to 5psi

I was planning on posting that after the pics were posted. It seems like anytime I write about stuff in the same post as the pics, people never even read it because there to busy looking at the pics.

Yeah as Tom said, the Proline TSL's were a bit of a challenge to clamp the two halves of the wheels together with how thick the Proline TSL beads are. They are also not a typical flat bead that is the same thickness, these have a triangle shape to them making the bead thicker as you go in from the edge.

I just had to push down hard on the face of the wheel with the palm of my hand to get the first of the 4 wheel screws started. Once the first screw is in the rest are easy.

The other tires I test mounted (Baja Claws, Rock Claws and Ripsaws) were all very easy to mount and could easily be changed out on the rocks if needed.

Are you Hawaiian? I personally like the narrow wheel and how the tire tucks in but I know everyone has there own personal preference.

I don't like how wide that 1:1 wheel & tire setup is, that look just never interested me.

You need to stop eating/taking all your profits. I told you a long time ago to not get into selling viagra on the black market. If you think the scale is going to help, come get it.

Years ago I ran a set of 33x14.50 MT Fun Country's on my Bronc with on a 8" wide wheel because I got a good deal on the wheels. They worked great for me, even better than when I later put the tires on 10" wheels.

For the scalers, I like the sidewall bulge you get with a narrow wheel.

I've been running the Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR-XL and love the way it performs. Right now it has the HH CrawlMaster Pro 540 13t- 2250Kv, the wheel speed and the low end resolution is great with an 18t pinion.
