So is Arkansas, but you really can't get the good stuff until a few weeks before the holiday.

I just have to leave the city limits really. They have stores open year round with the stuff I'd need. Rear facing GoPro mounted on the roof maybe

This idea is already going too far...

Its only too far if the Wraith exceeds the speed of sound and/or reaches orbit. Anything less than that is good fun.

Dammit, now I've got a rocket sled build forming the the back of my head...

Well I'm home and about to start working on this rig. I am going to try a new method of removing the glued on tires, baking them in the ove. We'll see how it goes...

The driveshaft engagement on the MIP's is great. Very satisfied.

John offers the Crawlmasters in lower turns. I would go with that.

I've done that back in the day, before BL's. It works.

So to attach the driveshafts I used the pins that are used in Traxxas Maxx or HPI Savage driveshafts. I love that Axial has decided to go to this style output

Here you can also see how the engagement is on the MIP's. There is a good 3/4" of engagement.

I also installed the new VP knuckles. They bolt right up using the stock knuckle arms and the stock tie-rod. New knuckle arms will be on their way soon though

Which MIPs are they?

Regular AX10 length (no dig).

Note that you do have to remove (or trim) the spur gear cover.

2 tires successfully dismounted!
  • Place 2 tires on cookie sheet covered with tinfoil.
  • Preheat oven to 325
  • Bake tires for 30 minutes.
  • Remove tires from oven, leave on cookie sheet.
  • With oven mits or protection of some sort, break the tires off the bead on the side facing up.
  • Flip the tires over and place back in the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and finish removing the tires from the wheels.

EASY! Please be careful! I had some water in my tires and the steam that was coming out could have been pretty dangerous.
