On it's way to me are the following parts:

Black Knuckles
Black C-hubs
Black 2.2 SSZ-11 Wheels
335 hubs and 450 hubs.

Not sure what width hubs I will go with yet but I'll do some experimenting when it all arrives. Also when the knuckles come in we are going to have to see what I can work with on the linkages and steering arms.

Nice thats the same wheel set up I wanna run it's gonna look sick.

It was the idler gear indeed. I have a spare on hand, going to throw it in now and probably drop down to 2s lipo for a little bit

The black wheels and orange skinz are going to a good looking setup I am also waiting on a set of R35 compound Ripsaws for them. A stiffer tire may be a good thing with a rig this fast though.

I have the r35's on my honcho and they are still fairly stiff with the full stock foams!

Your poor driveshafts are going to love all that new traction!!

I almost got a full 5250 3s pack through it this time before something happened Luckily the only thing this time is the pinion gear slid down. Forgot to Loctite it I guess

So besides the pinion coming lose, everything else appears good so far with the HH motor?

I'm running a Traxxas Brushless motor, the VXL system.

I am beating the hell out of it and it is doing well. I'll shoot a little video with the iPhone as soon as the battery is charged up.

When the pinion come off it chewed up the spur too, so I geared down a tad to a 84 tooth spur and stock 20 tooth pinion.

Both stock driveshafts finally ate it. I was impressed at what they took for abuse. I shot some video and believe I got a shot of the front one breaking if it wasn't too dark.

These shafts are damn smooth though. It would be nice to have some metal shafts to go with the nice CVD joints.

I should say that after the front shaft went I drove this thing around in 2WD until the rear went (it was the one that was already twisted from yesterday). This thing was a blast in 2WD actually. It will hang the rear end out in a pretty controlled slide. Ride height could use to be lowered for this type of thing though.

So what were you running in this latest video? 2S/3S? Gearing? Still the VXL system, right?

Thing looks pretty darn fast, I'm getting a little more excited now. This thing is going to be a killer bashing rig.

Still running the 3s lipo and VXL system. The gearing is changed now because I toasted the stock spur. I am now running 20/84.

I'm amazed the driveshafts didn't go sooner especially after the pervious post showing how twisted they had become. I wonder how hard it would be to duplicate the driveshafts with an aluminum setup? I know you mentioned the MIP shafts but iirc they are a bit smaller in diameter than the stock driveshaft although they are stronger. I feel that the thicker stock driveshafts would appear more scale, maybe it could be a project for me to do when i get back. You think the VXL on 2s would be tame enough to not break parts too fast? The only batteries i have are all 2s. Looking forward to seeing the videos when i get back. Borrowed a friends phone that had net access and saw the one with it being driven around the creek. Looks like a bunch of fun!

I just threw another set of driveshafts in tonight and blew them up in a hurry with a fully charged 3s. A larger driveshaft really isn't more scale, 1:1 driveshafts are not that large in diameter. A 2s battery will be much easier on parts even with brushless.

Once the stock tires wear out, what are your plans for replacements?
