Your day was more productive than mine. My personal opinion is that as good as the interior looks I'd run a matching door panel. If front and rear fender areas were tube I'd say leave the doors just tube. But with the current setup a matching panel would look better. My 2 cents What axles did you end up going with?

Oh duh. I was like #1 #2 whaaaat?? OHHHHHH

If you're going for "1:1 realism", you could do a solid lexan door on the driver's side, and a clear lexan door for the passenger side. While this might be more of a W.E. Rock look than Ultra4, it would be a cool way to show off the interior.

Yup that's what I was saying here.

I'm going to go with the silver housings I think. I'm trying to stop thinking about it and just go with it!

Alright, trying to keep track of all the details I need to wrap up. Just placed my order for some 5mm LED's to do the rear light bar. I spent $14 at Radio shack yesterday for 5 LED's and they were painfully dim. So being in a rush didn't do anything but waste my time.

Ordered some bright pieces through ebay and now I just get to wait on the slow boat...

Nice find. I did the exact same thing and was sorely disappointed with their light output. Placed me an order as well.

100 lights for $3 ?!? That is a sweet deal! I hope its not a "you get what you pay for" thing.

I've probably bought 1000 LED's from them over the years, never been disappointed. I have a HUGE box of LED's and resistors down in the shop, however none of them were 5mm.

Well in hopes of completing a bombproof drivetrain, I'm starting at the top and will continue to work down.

The stock Axial slipper often seems like an all or nothing type deal. You either crank it down to the point where it never slips or it always slips when you don't want it to.

So I was aware of the new top shaft made by SuperShafty.com that will allow you to run the steel Robinson 32p spur and heavy duty Traxxas slipper from the Slash 4x4. He is out of stock currently but I went ahead and got the rest of the parts on the way for the setup. I decided to drop down in pinion size to a 13t so that will lower my gear ratio just a hair.

2wd slash slipper not 4x4, just so you know. Plus the stock gear cover will still fit

Ahhh, good call. I thought the Robinson page said 4x4. Looking forward to beefing it up!

So do you think this is a required upgrade, or is it just because your weight and abuse level?

I see it as a good idea because of the weight and amount of power I plan on using. I do think most people would benefit from changing out the stock bearings to some new higher quality bearings though.

I just installed The 3300/mmp and so far I like it, I havent crawled yet but we''l' have to see on that one. On the pics of your doors Do a shot of full doors, I know you don't like them but It might look better than the pics you have up, just my $.02 The thing looks rad but if your going for a KOH look everyone runs full doors. Someone said clear doors and That would look pretty cool with some stickers on them so you can tell theres something there.
