Default My She-Hulk themed Wraith

Here's my Wraith. Seeing a green-metallic wraith on YT, it got me thinking.
I had a cool, utterly-poseable She-Hulk figure lying around, and it clicked.

-RTR Wraith

-Home-made axle-links. I had to replace the stock links, because they went all "noodly". 4mm Thread-stock threaded through 6mm outside diam. Aluminium tubing. All rod-ends are Savage/Revo rod-ends with metal balls. (Aluminium tubes are 9,5cm; rods are 11cm , for those that want to replicate this el-cheapo solution.) Combined with the Revo-rod-ends, they are the right length. I considered stainless steel 4mm rod, but SS is a bitch to work with if one only has a hacksaw, so, I opted for super-cheap steel rod : E1,10 a mtr.

-Home made servo-link.

-Stock servo, receiver and ESC.

-Stock gearing

-fitted 6mm aluminium tubing inside the drive-axles to prevent warping/collapsing. Fits exactly!, and works like a charm.

-Graupner Speed 600 race 7,2 volts. 22500 rpm. A steal @ E12,- Fan-Cooled, great torque (I left the soft metal flux-ring in place) and reasonable endurance on 4000mAh, say 15min heavy high-speed bashing, and 30 min slow crawling.

-Bionic-Batteries 4000mah, 50c, 200A peak, 30c 120A cont.

-Outside painted. First scuffed with a scotch-brite, then primed with Tamiya light-grey primer. Then sprayed with Tamiya lime-green metallic TS-paint, and finished with 4 layers of cheap 4$$ automotive clear.

Close-up of Shiny body.

Having fun on home-brewn urban-crawling course

Look on self-fabricated aluminium links. Total cost E5,- and a lot of sweat. including Savage rod-ends&balls

Showing how well Shulkie actually fits.

Overview.

Home-made servo-link.

Had to flip the differentials to make the motor run CCW. Rather peculiar.. Even the manual had it correct, but some chinese person didn't understand his/her left from his/her right..

Thnx for looking.
Got a kit on order. That's going to get A LRP 13.5 brushless stock-spec with an LRP AI-Pro ESC.

Still need to do some suspension tuning and wiring, just waiting on rear steer knuckles, etc.
