[QUOTE=Remington12;3474345]Can anyone tell me - will AX10 skid plate fit to the wraith cage? Native skid is "out of stock" everywhere

I am trying to find the part circled in red. The manual lists the sprue tree number but not the part number. There are a couple of pieces it might be but I cannot see in the picture where this part is actually required. Which part is it and do you have to have it?

Cool Re: Wraith Beginners Guide - Updated 8/1/11

Hi all,

a) Shock question:

I see, that many go to Proline Slash shocks.

What's your take on the Proline versus the 10mm Axial shocks (alu)??

b) Wheel question:

Does anyone know if there is a Alu-wheel out there for the Wraith, that looks like the 8-hole beadlock rim from the Axial Honcho?
SCX10 TR w/Trail Honcho Body - PT# AX90016 - Trail Proven Off-Road Performance#

Obviously for the 2.2 tires .....

Cheers,

The smaller shocks don't offer enough fluid dampening to properly control the wraith at speed. That's why I switched to the Proline slash shocks.

I'm thinking maybe Motoworx makes wheels like that. Not sure on the offset though, maybe wide and they are definitely heavy which will effect performance.

Very wide off set. I have a set of Motoworx for the original tires and a set off stamped steel for TSL Boogers. Motowork sit a little wider and are heavier than the steel ones. Motoworx are very heavyduty. If you get them get hubs that have set screw cause these rims have such close tolerance my hubs got stuck in them. I'm sure his webste has exact figures. Had to comment cause these rims are so awesome.

Ok I just installed the tekin 13.5 and mmp with a bec 14t 32p 60t with 2s and I don't have my link to program yet. Is it safe to run and what about the reverse rotation thing? Thanks a lot!

It's best to check the programming before hand but you will likely be OK. You may have to flip the ring gears over to reverse the rotation.

Ok. I think I will just wait on the link. Should the 60t spur rub the dust shield? What settings do you recommend for this set up? Harley you have been a huge help for me. I really appreciate it.

I don't run the cover so I actually can't tell you that for sure. The setup part isn't too difficult. Just make sure you have the reverse settings setup for instant reverse. Set your lipo cutoff, etc.

The throttle settings are just personal preference.

It was easiest for me to just fop the ring gear to the other side, so I could take advantage of their 'cheat" mode fo a brushless motor.

I actually just got finished flipping the ring gears. And relocating the battery and electronics. And Harley the motor and gearing advice was right on. This thing is awesome now!

Hey guys, i have built and ran my Wraith kit, now im getting tired of moving the battery in and out of the back part. What are you guys doing to move everything around to get the pack under the hood? I have the Traxxas hood pin kit on my wraith. I eventually plan on doing a CMS so is there anything that i need to consider when thinking about moving my pack up front? Also is there any other info needed inorder for you guys to help me move the pack?

*edit: is there a link to a "how to" or does someone sell a kit?
