Default Need help with the br-xl

I have been trying different set ups and playing with the esc for about a hr.
I have Johns 13t motor and I'm running the 32p 54/14 gearing and no matter what I do I can not get it to come to a slow stop or even a simi slow stop. it just stops hard, I have had the holmes hold on and off, I have the drag down to 20%, plus at 20% it still gets the buzzing sound? I have also tried the Throttle down and I have a pretty big curve on it right now. I have also re calibrated the radio and esc a few times, do I live with this or am I doing something wrong or missing something here. I have read his instruction sheet and tried to find info here but nothing helps.

Something is wrong, sounds like the holmes hold isn't actually turning off. If you can hear the active drag brake working while the esc is supposed to be in drag brake mode, something is wrong. When I put my brxl in drag brake mode it is works like it should and comes to a slow stop and you don't hear any active drag brake buzzing. Have you tired updating your catlelink program and updating firmware on the esc? I'd do that then start all over and reprogram the esc then re-cal the esc and radio.

You want it to slow down without doing an endo? Or you want more drag?

Turn off hold, turn drag down to 50%. See how you like it.

The throttle ramp down doesn't dampen the drag onset, only the throttle changes.

That works but as you know It wont have enough hold, is there a way to get both worlds with out having to reset the esc. I'm using a DX3R radio at this time and I do have a air MT4 radio, could that help to not have to go back into the esc.

We are working on a program that will give you what you want via the ESC, that it is a ways out.

I don't know if your radio has the option, but you may be able to program in some throttle response lag that could help the endos. Otherwise you need a better throttle finger.

Got the finger thing lolol. Hope you get the new esc thing going that will be the shit... I'll just have to make a quick disconnect out side the water proof box for speed/crawl runs. Thanks John and Wrecker for the help. This ESC is great has some nice features.
