It is always evolving. From basic to full out custom chassis. Main reason for this build is to also help showcase the wonderful vendors and their products sold here on RCC. Also to help show with a little creativity, what all can be done before going to a full custom chassis. It is also a test bed for my own products and custom machine work. Hope you enjoy the evolution of this rig as much as I do building it. Cutting the lugs on the boggers! I saw the same thing on a 1:1 buggy last night and they looked mean! Just looked on rc4wd, the predators are 2.2? I thought they were only in 1.55. I must have missed something! Just looked again...it looks like they are a 2.2 version of the void. It's late. I'm going to bed! Following this one. Last edited by Bulldog; 08-11-2011 at 12:48 AM. Well at least the diff covers fit. And the cage mod that is going in it. I built a clone of this a while back, something about the cage has always stuck with me. It's just different. Woodlee has an eye for making art of vehicles. Think I'll make it a family rig as well with a back seat. |

I was wandering where it was now. I made it so long ago, when I first started brazing, and before I had my new bad ass mig.

Got the cage tacked together tonight. It's a mixture of 1/4 and 3/16 solid and the bottom dash bar is 1/4 aluminum. Ends were turned in a lathe to fit as stock bars did. CMS and new front end to come. |

Wow, how you tie the tubes together to fit the stock chassis is beyond me. It looks killer and the solid rod is going to be bullet proof. Question: Why not build a full steel cage? By the way, love the 1:1 family buggy!!! |

Thanks for the compliments everybody. Not gonna do a full cage anytime soon. To time consuming and it would be heavy. I have a spare chassis coming so I can use it for a jig so who knows what the future holds. DMG is working on an aluminum version and his stuff is top notch. |

Dinky Rc V2 hood. The fit and finish on these are excellent. Plan on getting a V3 as well. |

Maybe some filler panels for the roof. Either painted, smoked, or aluminum. |
