Is there any way you can get the low end torque from running this 10.5 with a MMP.I have speed but no torque. thanks

I'm just about finished building my kit and am waiting on a replacement for a defective tire and for my new rims to show up.

My electronics are installed and ready though.

Holmes BRXL
55t Integy (for now) being replaced by a Holmes motor of some kind once I can afford it
Hitec 7955TG
Thunder Power 2250mah 3s to start with. My big 5000mah 3s I use for long distance hiking won't fit just yet.

Br00d 35t Onslaught motor, and a BRXL waterproofed. It works great.

Looking at getting a Tekin Pro4 for my Wraith. I want to run mainly 2 cell, I guess 3 cell if I have to. Not really interested in running 4 cells or more. What Kv would people recommend. I was thinking the 3300 Kv should still be fine.

I would agree, the 3300kv motor should be fine for 2s and 3s use. I will be trying them and stocking them as soon as they are available.

Really depends on what you going to do with it. For most, I'd go 3300, for slower crawling 17.5 redline. If you have low c rated batteries, the pro4 will suffer. Amp hungry motors they are.

So I thought I had this motor thing all figured out, I bought a cc mamba max pro and a novak 18.5 ballistic. But now Im not sure if this is right for me, we mostly do crawling and water crossings happen alot, I dont want to be the guy who carrys his across. I would like some speed but its not why I bought the wraith. any help here please, and I do know what the search button is for. thanks...

Search google for conformal coating, aerosol type. Open up the motor and give the sensor PCB two or three coats of the junk, probably best to do three thin coats and let it dry between each. Seal up any holes with silicon caulk, caulk the can when you reassemble, and hope for the best. The water will still ingress through the bearings, so you could soak the motor parts in corrosionX if you wanted. Bearings, rotor, and stator are the important parts.

Or I can order something from you and save this for another day
what would you suggest I run 3cell most of the time and could keep the cc esc? thanks

Hey Guys, looking for some setup help.

Specs
Motor:Tekin 17.5
ESC: Mamba Max Pro
Servo: Hitec 5955TG
External BEC: Castle
Lipo: Cheap 2200mah 3s Turnigy

I was under the impression that with this combination I'd have a considerable amount of wheel speed over the stock setup. So far that is not the case. I cannot even get the truck to wheelie lol.

I first tried a 19/80 gearing. Thinking the gearing was to low, I tried 22/80 and now get cogging at low crawl speeds.

I've tried several different MMP settings, different timing, different RPM boost settings etc.. I'm getting nowhere. A buddy is telling me its the MMP. But it seems some are having great success with the MMP.

If anyone is running this setup, I'd love to see what you are running on your MMP settings and the gearing you have selected. I just feel this setup should rock and it simply does not. Thanks for any help!

Per the HH web site, the above motors are rated at:

11t Crawlmaster = 2675 kv
17t Torquemaster = 3753 rpm/v

Did you mistakingly put 3753 kv for the 17t Torquemaster or is the following relationship true?

rpm/v = kv

New to this so I'm trying to get a basic understanding of motors.

Thanks...
