bumper brace tube mod Here is a simple and cheap mod for the weak bumper brace . 1.Make sure you get the center and right angle before you drill the hole with a 3/32 drill bit you need to be dead on or you could blow out the side wall. 2.Screw in a axial 3mm self tapping screw, been doing some serious bashing have not broke it yet. http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/...acetubemod.jpg |
Doing some searching and not finding much on these. I have one broken, are there stronger options out yet or best to get a stock replacement and do the screw mod? Thanks |

Yeah, I just now ran across the RC4WD ones too. Thanks for the heads up. |
Ultra h/d something Ive been working on !! ULTRA H/D bumper mounts, lighter than the steel ones, adds more stiffness, & U should never brake these !! coming soon to the DmG line-up !! |
Nice, I was just searching your name to PM ya. Do you have a shot of those Ultra HD ones with the hood on too? Thanks. |
My mounts haven't broke, but the bumper did where it attaches to the mount. |
digging those shock hoops. they look more scale than the Level 3 units I have. Wish has seen those first. |
Now that is a serious bumper brace. Nearly a trailing arm for a trophy truck:ror:. Those should not fail. I broke on of mine, have not fixed it. I was going to build something but keep getting side tracked. |

awesome brace method as well as repair if you have to wait and save your pennies fore the H/D stuff |
Nice repair. I will definately do this until I get the time to build a new steel bumper unit. Thanks for the idea. I used to thing duct tape was the fix all, but since I have been playing with RC cars, I have found CA glue and screws will fix nearly anything (except for a burnt motor).:) |
