this is looking great Harley, how strong are the wraith axles compared to upgraded SCX10 axles?

Depends on what you call upgraded. Unless you are using Super 300's I would say that Wraith Axles with universals is stronger. If you do AX10 with long Beef Tubes and XR10 universals would be about the same and a better width for a sportsman. This truck is wide.

Hmmmm, just not liking this setup :-/

The Wraith axles are just too wide. Link mounts are causing suspension binding that I'm not liking mostly. It would require some much more complex bends.

This project may have to turn into something else....

Don't give up that easy Your Awesomeness.

Drill out some bent XR rod ends to 4mm. Should fix the binding at the axle without needing to go crazy with the links.

This will likely be converted to AX10 axles with long beef tubes.

Did you try mounting the lower links inboard of the dual sheer mounts?

Also you could run XR lockouts with cut down stock shafts to narrow the rear axle.

Mounting inside the mounts was tough on the diff side. No room for a nut. Could be done though if you took the mount off first and used a button head.

XR lockouts did go on but yes you need to cut down shafts and there isn't enough meat on the shafts to do that IMO.

i felt like this also. Runn'in into a little more work than i thought. Among other things, i have to make all new links and might have to use calculus.

Think about it this way, if you just go back to ax10 axles, ehh, it will probably be bad ass, but wraith axles...

Push it thru man!

Well the mounts are super easy to pull off due to the design. Why not just try that? Unless you ordered a set before, KC said he wasn't going to make any more long beef tubes.

That wasn't really my biggest concern. I could build some crazy curved links like we build for the MOA's but my concern is width mostly. I'm at a little over 11.5" now and without special wheels it's not gonna be where I want it.

I read he isn't making them. I can always just go have some turned though. They are a simple product.
