Default Stock drive shafts

So we all know the stock shafts suck, they twist and fold up and in which is disappointing considering they upgraded the ends of the shafts. So this is what I did to beef up the tubes, I notice that a 1/4-20 bolt could be threaded in, so I tapped out the inside of the male shaft( need to bottom it out on shaft so u don't create a weak spot) then I screwed in a long 1/4-20 bolt and cut the head off!! So that is my temporary fix until I find a longer mip shaft to replace the short dig shaft I have from a ax10

I tried pretty much the same thing but it just twisted on it and actually twisted enough to cause it to pop out. I am now running 2 females with one of the females shortened just a little and I put a male between them with a solid peice of aluminum rod ca glued in. So far so good and it has been through more than the stock shafts.
