Chuck, so what piece is longer? Mike measured the female piece for me and it was the same as an AX female.

I have known the MIPs were stronger for some time.....but they are very loud and require a bunch of maintenance....well, as compared to my Maxx shafts.

I've been running the AX10 MIPs since day one. No problems.

Go to ace, or sears hardwear, and get graphite lube, (keep your comments clean..) i like the liquid over the paste because the liquid dries. Drop a good amount of it in your mip yolks rotate them very slowly, and let it dry for a day. Mine have never squeaked with this method.

That stuff works well on axleshafts.....so it should work here too. Plus it was free and it smells like coconuts.

I like coconuts.

Try the graphite. You won't hear them ever.

Nuts...lol... TriFlow works pretty well for me, just wipe it off afterwards as it can attract dirt.

I've been using Moble One synthetic grease. Seems to be working well.

I was finally able to get rid of the sloppy lockers that barely engaged the tang of my stock universal's....I picked up a set of the GripFab lockers. These things are nice! 5mm set screw covers the tang nicely!

Here you can see how little of the tang was covered by the old set screw:

The new GF locker:

Here you can see that the tang engagement is almost the complete diameter of the set screw:

And while working on getting this truck ready for the G6 in Prescott, I noticed one of my Blue Monkey links was slightly tweaked:

I put on some old Lunsford lower LCC links that I had. Should be good for now.
