I cracked a rod end on one of the lower links when the housing broke. It probably broke from the twisting that happened but hopefully the rod ends stay the fuse and not the link mounts.

I picked up some Sling Shot SC paddles the other day. I headed out to a sand pile with ROLANDROCKSHOP to test them out. Josh also took some video of the fun.

While I am working on version 2 of some Cherokee shaped body panels I decided to paint up a set of regular clear Wraith panels. Of course ther is still a bit of XJ thrown in.

The main color is Parma fascent blue backed with silver, the cowl and small pin stripes are Parma faspearl charcoal, the large pin stripe is Parma silver and the grille is Spazstix Ultimate Chrome. If anyone is thinking about using a chrome paint, this stuff is the real deal.

I have also been collecting more parts to beef things up. The modded MIP shafts that I have been running don't like dirt or sand so I picked up a set of the AX10 version. I also picked up some RRP transmission gears, HD Axial ring and pinions and Hot Racing spools. I picked up the last set of Revo pushrods that I needed to finish converting all of the links to steel. RPP Hobby also had some Losi Comp Claws on sale for 11.99 and buy one get one free, so I picked up a couple of pairs. Now I am just waiting for my wheels to get here.

This is whats left of the pins on the old MIP shafts that I was running.

It looks like it was soon going to be time to upgrade the lockers and gears anyway.

I finished up the front bumper. I decided not to put any "wings" on it, I like this look much better.

I also took some video of my dogs attacking the truck.

The funny part about Mica and Izzy is that if I have the truck inside they will leave it alone, unless I drive it too close to their toys. As soon as the truck goes outside, they go nuts.

Well SID is out. I looked up SID figures on ebay and people want WAY to much for them for what I want one for.

I got my Mayhem Engineering Monster beadlock wheels in today. I went with the 1" wide version with the .450 hubs. I am going to run the Comp Claws until my TSL's come in. I am NOT looking foward to changing out the tires, that is a lot of screws.

If the weather holds out this weekend, I am going to try to do some more hill climbing with this thing. I am curious to see how the extra weight of the wheels changes the handling and also what it does to the axle shafts. I suspect that now that the wheels can't flex to absorb impact, I will be breaking stub axles.

I thought I read somewhere that those wheels could be flipped to alter the offset? Or, vp hubs maybe?

I really want these but im very happy with the stock width.
