| Just have to decide how much carnage I want to cause on the motor. Got a vxl 3500 already and a 17.5 novak coming. How did you secure your mip's? I have some scx 10 mips but don't have the pass through set screws.

| I tried the regular set screws that came with the shafts and even with red loctite, I had a couple of them back out. Then I tried some Traxxas screw pins that I had. The Traxxas pins worked but they were long and stuck out. I didn't want to catch them on something and have to cut them out. I ended up running some HPI screw pins that I found at HobbyTown. The package calls them screw shafts and the part number is HPI86094.

I finally put on a set of SX's a couple of weeks ago and they work really well. I think that I am also going to ditch the front bumper. The metal bumper made the front of the chassis way to stiff. I ended up breaking off the entire front end of the chassis and it broke right at the rear mounts for the bumper. |

Well a couple of weeks ago I decided that I was done with the plastic chassis. With my new chassis I wanted something with a little bit of the southern buggy look to fit my driving style, I also wanted to keep Jeep Cherokee body panels. Here is what I have so far. The chassis is made out of 3/16" solid rod and I am using a cut up Proline Jeep Cherokee for the body panels. I still have to clean up some of the welds, braze on some nuts for the body mounts and then build an interior. |

Here is a rough look at the interior. Its ugly, but thats why they make sand paper and filler. |

This may be a silly question but what is the difference between the AX10 08101 MIP shafts for $44.39 & the Wraith 11116 MIP shafts for $60.66? I see you are using the AX10 ones, i take it they work fine? |

Everything is painted and reassembled. Here is a sneak peak. I haven't seen the two sets side by side, but I remember reading that the drive hubs on the Wraith specific shafts allow you to use the stock size screw pin for mounting. I'm not sure what else was changed. |
