Congrats! Have fun with it! RTR or kit?

EMUTT 10-15-2011 06:48 AM

It's the kit version and im giddy like school girl lol.

chicklet 10-15-2011 07:12 AM

I know the feeling! What electronics you running?

EMUTT 10-15-2011 07:22 AM

Flysky gt3b radio gear castle creations sidewinder and bec hitech 645mg for now "until I luck into a better one lol" 27 t epic with a venom 3000mah 7cell hump pack.

chicklet 10-15-2011 07:31 AM

Yeah you're going to need a more powerful servo to move the 2.2 tires.

OntarioCrawler 10-15-2011 07:44 AM

Id reccomend the 5645mg digital. same price, almost 170 in-oz

EMUTT 10-15-2011 07:53 AM

I think the one I'm looking at is the 7954sh think that's it its like $80 or $90 over 300 oz/in

chicklet 10-15-2011 07:57 AM

300+oz suits the Wraith well, I have no problems at all. I run a 7955TG on mine with a HH BRXL on 3s. No external BEC, the internal BEC handles it just fine.

EMUTT 10-15-2011 08:15 AM

That's a nice set up hopefully I can get mine close to that one day "thumbsup"

chicklet 10-15-2011 08:21 AM

Thanks EMUTT! Post pics when you rip the box open!

I was wondering it the bec on the HH BRXL would handle a high votage servo. You never have any brownouts?

Not with my 7955TG and the HH BRXL.

BrainDead 10-15-2011 01:40 PM

If you cant afford a 100 dollar servo though, CKRCcrawlers.com they have a servo they make thats only around 20 bucks and is 200 oz. I have the HH BRXL and its runs great, and i have a external BEC just in case. Great servo for 20 bucks

CKRC Special MG946R, 208oz Torque Metal Gear Servo [ckmg946R] - $18.99 : CKRC Crawlers, RC Rock Crawlers

Well its been a day for sure lol me myself thanks Axial could try a lol harder with there tolerences. Had a few prices so far that didn't want to work right but they fit lol. Biggest issue so far is one of my driveshaft ends where the grub screw goes through at the transmission wasn't threaded at all:evil: not sure what to do about that right now. But here are some progress shots

That's all for now gota take a break lol.

chicklet 10-16-2011 07:38 AM

Sometimes the driveshafts aren't threaded on both sides, did you flip it over and try running the pin screw in the other end?

EMUTT 10-16-2011 12:50 PM

Sure did all of them except that one is threaded both sides

EMUTT 10-24-2011 08:19 AM

Well i got my wrauth put together and ran it for about 5 mins before the epic 27 went up in smoke . Got a 20t axial coming in the mail but from what i have been reading its not gonna last very long either lol. Anywho here are some poser pics was hoping for a vid but thats a no go for now.

When i get a new motor in i will make a vid maybe not ending in a cloud of smoke "thumbsup"

strap624 10-24-2011 08:27 AM

I've got 40+ hours of use out of my stock 20t motor. They will last just take care of them.

Do you crawl with it much? How many volts are you running?

stricker76 10-24-2011 09:16 AM

I got about 10 hours out of my stocker. Finally killed it yesterday, but was my own fault. I usually swap on my non-weighted wheels & tires for faster runs, but did about 20 minutes straight of fast hill climbing with the heavy stuff on and when i came back down the last time she was smoking pretty good. LOL

spunkysandoval 10-25-2011 06:35 PM

"thumbsup" Nice. Nothing beats BBQ motor smell :lmao:

EMUTT 10-28-2011 08:46 AM

Well got the stock motor in and have to say i am very pleased with the performance just scared to bind it up at the moment . But when i drove it the first time noticed it sways pretty bad at speed lol so i am in the process of making a rear sway bar for it. Here are some pics of the first setup.
