| wheels that keep trackwidth the same
I'm looking to order my wriath kit soon hopefully but I want to get some beadlock wheels to replace the kit ones so what can I order that will keep the track width close to factory spec? Not looking at any high dollar aluminum wheels, something in the ~$20-30 a pair range.

I have noticed that the wheels that are made with a berg offset seem to be pretty close to the stock wraith wheel offset. Not sure what inexpensive wheels have that offset. The only ones I know of are aluminum. You could check the for sale section for some used WheelWorks wheels or something like that. DNA also made some wheels with that offset. Hope this helps. |

Stock XR10 beadlocks are probably your best option. Not much uses that offset other than nice aluminum wheels. Problem with plastic is that it is common to spin the hexes. So your $50-60 set of plastic wheels are shot and now you have to spend it again. If you aren't very abusive though they should last you awhile.

They've lasted on every other crawler I have. I don't use brushless and haven't made the dive into lipo. Even my fat 10+lb JK never hurt the pro-line 8-shooters I had on it.

I found a set of five new xr-10 wheels in the for sale section. And all of them will match. I just need to find out for sure if xr-10 wheels will fit. Has anyone tried them before?

The xr10 wheels will narrow you trackwidth by around .800, An alternative would be to run the axle wideners for a bully. That would put you a hair wider than the stock wraith width using the XR10 wheels.

I guess I need to find out the offset of the stock non-beadlock wheels and xr10 wheels. After all Axial's kits have came with beadlocks why not this one!?

Anyone that has any on hand care to measure the backspacing and the overall width of their stock wraith wheels and a stock xr10 wheel?

Ok the stock axial wheel is 32.70mm wide with an offset (hub installed) of 6.90mm XR10 wheels are 35.00mm wide with an offset (hub installed) of 15.67mm XR10 wheels with (rc4wd bully wideners installed) offset is 3.24mm. XR10 wheels with (rc4wd bully wideners installed) is going to make the track width just about 6.6 mm wider. Sorry I based this off of axial beadlocks not the wraith wheels. |

I don't want to have to buy new wheels every time I need tires. Which with these soft tires they don't really last very long. My stock Honcho tires are getting pretty thin in the center just after having it for a year. They might last another year if I don't sell it when I get the wraith. I'm going to look up Bender's posts and see what I can find.

I'm running 1.25" Monster XS wheels with smallest hubs available .450 by Mayhem Engineering. they put me about 1/2" wider than stock. If you run the 1" version it should keep you at stock width and have some bad azz beadlocks!!

Talk to Jake at motoworx. he's a vendor on the board. We've got 3 sets from him and they are the same as stock. He'll take care of you.
