Considering I am sticking with 2S lipos, how would the speed / crawl capability compare between a sidewinder/Holmes 13t brushed setup vs. an MMP/ tekin 13.5 brushless? I have both escs, just deciding on which way to go for motor. Which would be more water tolerable? I'm looking for a good balance, decent crawling, but also some speed for rally style driving. Making a course through the woods. |

So what is the best way to make a Sidewinder water resistant? Assuming I'll go brushed then. Cheaper, too! Building two, and it'll save me from having to get another MMP (have the 'Winders already). | |

| There are lots of threads on that in the electronics section. Do a search. Bender put up a good one I think.

Any suggestions on a Brood motor for the Wraith? I use his motors in my comp XR10. Holmes seems to be out of stock of his motors, not sure how soon his stock will be replenished. Guess I'm not in a big hurry, just checking options. |

| Re: Choosing a motor and ESC for your Wraith There are lots of gearing suggestions in here. Read through the thread and see what works for your style. It all depends on what you plan on doing.

Okay im running a novak sensored 18.5t crawler 2s system with 17/84 and crawled for 4 hours and was cold. Is this a good setup or should i go 17/87 or screw the system and go another route. Im looking for best of both worlds but good battery life and low temps i know it asks alot but thats what im looking for

What do you think about a HH Crawlmaster 20t with a Tekin FXR running 3s. I was wanting the BRXL but unfortunately he won’t have them in stock until the end of February beginning of March. I will be doing trail running and crawling, but would still like some wheel speed.

I would say go with my recommendation in post 2 for brushed. If that's too fast then go 16t, but not 20.

| Re: Choosing a motor and ESC for your Wraith Didnt see anywhere where you mentioned if you wanted more speed or torque or...? I run 3s on everything in general. But if you want max run time then you're looking at max capacity which going up in voltage is going to hamper (physical dimension).

I want to do a bit of crawling with a little trail riding so I'm looking for torque with minimal top speed lose but i understand you have to give some to get some What do you suggest? Thats with stock gears. Noob here, so not really sure on how to or even if i should change gearing |
