I don't see that lasting very long.

Both good choices. Pro4 has more power and is more likely to cause other needed upgrades.

Hey Vito make sure you get a sensored motor so it won't cog on the low end.

ok first off let me say this, this is going to be an awkward response so warning, this is going to get weird people! lol

i bought my first wraith last year and sold it this year (deep deep regrets lol) and he was using a traxxas titan 12t 550 motor and a stock wraith esc, the castle sidewinder clone, but for the life of me i just cant remember what the gearing was but it had great low speed control, crawled like a dream, but i could rip a boulder a new a**hole if i nailed the throttle lol i mean not tekin pro4 speed but it had massive torque, but NEVER got hot like he found a sweet spot for that combo on a 2s turnigy 50-60c 3300mah 2s any idea what the gearing couldve been?

Sorry man, really can't pin point it from that. Probably between 4.5:1 and 5:1.

So like 80t/16t? That's a bit steep, I think about 87t/14t..?

Ok so I finally got the Rc4wd 2 speed trans in.. And it works great, but I'd like some more top speed in High range without hurting Low range crawling.. Its got the stock 15t pinion, 60t spur. and I have a 35t Rc4wd motor... which should I change and what too..

Read a post saying the RRP #7856 was a PnP unit, Lies. It rides the fasters that hold the motor plate to trans case, and still rides plate after filing down them down.

Anyone care to chime in, on how they solved this?

Not sure where you read that. The Slash slipper uses the Super Shafy Beefy top shaft. Not sure how you install it without it.

Harley.....I have the Wraith kit and originaly went with the Novak Timbuk2 wraith edition...fried it in the first 15 min of running.... recently ordered the
HH Torquemaster Pro Rock Racer combo w 21T. I saw on the HH site (thank you JRH) that the recomended gearing for that motor is 87/14 and was wondering if I went with an 88/16 if I would still be in a good range. I like running RRP gears and the only choice I have is 80T or 88T spur.

You would be safer with 88/14. The 88/16 is 5.5:1 where 87/14 is 6.2:1. I suggest being conservative based on the fact that I wouldn't suggest a 21t motor in the Wraith. You need to be very cautious of your motor temps. A 21t motor can easily burn up if not ran properly.

Harley...
Ok thank you! What if I went with a 32P 56t spur and a 13T pinion?
