I had the same problem, use a little bit of paper sand, clean it perfectly and be sure that it's perfectly aligned.
It's a good product.
Good luck

I've read that a couple of people had that same problem. It seems that this is a slight lip that is keeping the bearing for fitting. I've read that you can use a dremel to remove the lip, and then the bearing will fit.

ETA: Francois beat me to it.

X2. Had. Some slightly off square and they wouldn't even try to go in. I've put the bearing on the universal before to help align and install

I think that I read is that the bearings are a very tight fit and may require a little dremel work on the knuckle. I can't say for sure, but I think that is what I read.

One note, just inside big bearing seat if the knuckle, I grind a two notches so I can later use a punch to remove the bearing easier.

For installation, you might try freezing the bearing and heating the knuckle up.

personally i would hang on to the $50. for most people, you will either be replacing the stock motor due to smoking it, OR you will need to regear your truck.

this seems to depend on what you plan on using it for, as with most upgrades. if your gonna crawl with it, the motor will go quick!!

might spend $10 and get some lead rope, or solder to wrap those front rims with for a little weight to.

oh yeah, get some CA glue (super glue) your gonna need it

I would go with 8-32 all-thread, Stainless tubing and Revo ends when making homemade links.

I tried the Delrin for a Steering link and its like you say, WAY to flexible. Even more than the stocker.

I do however have Delrin lower links with Revo ends and they seem plenty strong. If I grab the 2 links and squeeze I can get a bit of flex but it helps with barrel rolls down long hills.

My lower links are straight. If I put a bend in them they would be too flexy.

so much you can do for free or on the cheap, do the drive shaft mod with piano wire and shoe goo to beef up drive shafts, flip the lower shock mounts, and invest in some hubs and knuckles. I keep the flexy steering link because the design doesnt incorporate and servo saver. The steering link allows your servo to survive big impacts. I also stick with dog bones for durability.

Just go out and enjoy it, it's loads of fun in stock form!

I think you have bad luck and it s time to sleep.

For your steering pb, do you install the knuckles and C hubs at the good side?
For knuckles it s write on it but for C hub, you can made a mistake

i actually moved the steering by hand freely and it didnt bind anywhere.. so that is good.. but something seems to be wrong with the receiver.. i literally have no control of the vehicle. It just sits there and twitches and the lights slightly flicker. any ideas? bad receiver?

Try leaving the steering servo unplugged from the receiver and plug in the battery. See if you regain throttle control and the lights are steady. If it works, that might point to an issue with the servo.
