Those look really good! Are the wheels black or silver with the silver beadlock ring?

Thanks. They're black. I'm pretty sure these are the most pimpinest wheels I've ever owned, rc or otherwise

Got the tires mounted up. I was a little worried that the 475 hubs would make it too wide, but I like the width. The mailman also brought me some goodies today

Yes Vanquish is the "Lexus" class of rc crawler wheels. Nice choice as well. I also am planning for the same ARB covers. Good stuff.

It's been tough finding time to work on this thing the last few days, with the holiday & working all weekend, but I managed to get a few things done. Installed Robinson tranny gears, & a 60t 32p spur gear & ARB diff covers.

Got my winch bumper from MG200 on Saturday. It's pretty sweet, but I should have had him build one with extra clearance for the servo.

When I have the shocks laid back in the last hole, the crossbar on the bumper hits the servo case with about 3/8" inch of shock travel left. When the shocks are in the first hole, it still hits, but the shocks are almost fully compressed. I might have to modify the servo plate or make a new one to move the servo back a little. Getting a thin servo horn might help too. I also need to trim the hood a little.

Thats what im runnin as well. Love it. Plenty of torque at 277ozin, my only complaint is that it doesnt center itself well. Tends to buzz a lot. But the necessary torque is there for sure.

Got the bumper painted yesterday & mounted this morning. Mounting the winch was tricky with my big knuckledragger fingers, but I remembered I had some small hemostats laying around somewhere & that did the trick. I trimmed off the "grille" since it was in the way. Also got the front & rear lights mounted up. Now all I need is my motor & esc, & I think she'll be ready to hit the trails

I had to take the dremel to the pass. side tube to get the winch to fit on the mounting plate. Didn't have to take much off. Other than that, I like it. I moved the shocks to the middle hole in the front & put some tube on the shafts so the shocks bottom out just before hitting the servo.

Thanks. The 4ws won't be happening for a while. You'll basically need a 2nd front axle setup - chubs, knuckles, tie rof & drag link, servo. I think there's also some hacking & whacking involved to get some servo clearance. There's a few threads floating around that talk about what needs to be done.

Here's one:

Like Muddywaters, I got my email from Mr Holmes saying my motor & esc are on the way. I can't wait!! I thought I'd see what it looks like with black beadlock bolts instead of the shiny ones. I think I like it
