Default Tamiya Silver Can on 3s?

Quick question....got my Wraith almost finished just needs paint work.

Not sure exactly where I'm going with this build (crawler or rock racer), but with the stock 20T/80T gearing will running a cheapo Tamiya silver can on 3s be okay?

Not to mention I'm running 2 oz of weights in the front on aluminum CAC EZ-lock BL's and no weight on the rear. The wheels themselves are a bit heavy not even sure I want to run weight up front since that's where the battery will be.

Other running gear:

BRXL
CC BEC
7954
MIPs
Robinson geared tranny

The motor will not last long on 3s and the stock gearing.

Yeah, it will be okay......for about 2 minutes.. i tried that with my clod. Dzjeeezzz fastttttt.. And then Ffffffft!! Smoke, stink RIP....

If You want some speed and torque, You could search for a 9,4 v speed 600 550-can. Cheap, reliable and can stand 12v easy.( i believe it's about 22 turns. ElectryFly sells them as T600 and T600r)
It's also often sold as "eco-Class speed boat motor"

I'll try it out...I have a back up new Novak 55T I can drop in once I fry the silver can lol.

Maybe 2s with the Tamiya silver can would be better...that is if I'm keeping the stock gearing.

It would be painfully slow though. You could go and search for a cheap 21turn silver can.
Most hobby shops carry those. They're mostly about 1o to 15 bucks

I tried a Tamiya silver can in a scaler once. Lasted about 10 2200mah packs on 3s before the bushings were shot. Really figured the brushess or windings would have gone first.

Well once the silver can is shot. Going to order up the CM 13T from Holmes! Hopefully they will be back in stock soon.
