Here, one ring has to go to the short side, and one has to go towards the long. |

When I run a new set up I tend to be pretty anal about the temps I've burned my share of cheaper brushed motors and learned how easy it is when your pulling the trigger hard and having fun! Should be back to the comps/GTG after the new year. Your prolly gonna have to wait a bit to see this one run, I'll have the mechanics done soon but it will be a good while before it is comp ready, and even then this isn't a mud/water kinda rig. So a 12/56 set up (13.5t on 3s)would be a better set up for crawling rather than bashing right?

Well guys I cut everything for the links started to assemble it and the battery in my drill died and after a little comedy of errors on my part I ended up getting my drive shafts ready. I'm using RC4WD Punishers. I like their fit and strength, I have a set of MIP's , I love that you can rebuild them, but I like the strength of the Punishers. The big criticism of the Punisher shafts is that they don't support the cross pins. I'm a big advocate of the crosspins so I threw my shafts on the drill press and ended up with this. I went ahead and mounted them up to the tranny to make sure I did it all correct. Sorry for the crummy cell phone pics but the battery in the Nikon was dead. Like I said today was a comedy of errors! |

good idea with the shaft upgrades, ive seen other builds that use brushless systems, and ALL of the stock ones just twist and snap. |

| Re: WarTraders Wraith V2 Thanks, I have those shafts in my other wraith and they have held up to that motor, a 13T Crawlmaster, and a 20T Torquemaster. I've run them on 2s, and 3s with no problems. They've stayed smooth for more that 15+ packs and still show no wear. It would be great if RC4WD would drill them for the cross pins though.

Work has commenced again !!! I got the links done today! I know most everybody is going with the Ti links and they are crazy strong. I like to make some of my own stuff and I just cannot convince myself to drop 100.00 bucks for links. I learned how to make this style link a while back and used them on my comp crawlers and loved. They are thread all jacketed in delrin, that I bend myself with a tube bender. They stay nice and slick and hold up very well least they did in my bergs. If you want to buy links like this contact Xirtic he makes them and some other great products for bullys! After a bunch of thought I'm making some changes in my electronics! This rig is gonna be set up for rock crawling and trail running. I really wanted more precise braking that only brushed can give. I'm going with this set up a 12T Crawlmaster Pro and a HH-BRXL. The brushless is going to find a new home in a go fast toy soon. I also changed up the RRP spur! OK a little more motor porn. This thing is just sick. No I'm not a fabricator, I'm just a perfectionist with a good eye LOL. I just wish I had a bigger shop for a bandsaw and the ability to do some brazing/welding and then I would be doing some fabricating work. Thanks for your kind comments it means a lot to me. The driveline is ready to go! I have most of the chassis ready. I got started on the interior. It's going to be pretty boring for starters. My plans are to revisit the build and add scale details once the overall build is done. I also got some shocks put together for this build. I usually run losi crawler shocks, but on this I'm going with stock shocks with STRC bodies. I'm still using the stock plastic caps mainly because I cannot decide on what color cap to go with.
