How much are the rear wheels narrowed? Im putting the same tire and wheel set up on mine, I just don't want the "fat tire" look that is common with XR wheels.

Great looking rig, nice work....

Alright time for an update. Been working on this bad boy all week, cant believe how much fun it is just to tinker, and build stuff

Since last update, I tore the truck down again, cleaned it up a bit, shortened wires, and cleaned up wiring, and ofcourse did upgrades.

What do you guys think? top on or top off? Im kinda digging the top off look.

Been a while since I updated anything

Rig did good at the ultra4 race on sunday. Felt good, some minor tweaks I got to work on, but for the most past, it did great!!! Took 3rd place in 2.2 and 3rd overall as well

Tonight I built a fuel cell. built it out of styrene, and here is how it looks right now, just gotta find/make the perfect cap.

The electronics box i am covering up

Looks great. That fuel cell is pretty pimp. How hard is it to take off if you need to get to the electronics box? I dig the paint on the body too.

X2 on the tank it looks sweet. Are you able to get full articulation on the rear axle with the battery tray and rear center stiffner still their. Cause I cut mine out so that the servo would clear up and down. like this picture here.

before

After

Looks great, I especially like the cage mod and Toyota grill! How are you diggin the XR10 wheels? Do they hold bead good? Any chance on a small narrow them tutorial with pics? What wheels did you change to in the last pic and why? Thanks!

The Chaotic steering links fit with the Revo rod ends bottomed out on the threads or did you have to adjust them out to get toe set right?

Thanks!! Its actually super easy, the "gas cap" is threaded for 3mm screws, so I drilled a hole in the electronics box, and put a screw through it, then just set the fuel cell on, and thread the "gas cap" on So one "nut" and it comes off, then the two back screws and the cover comes off.

Thanks man! Ya the cage turned out well, but I cant take credit for that, NaZ-T on here did it for me as part of a deal The toyota grill IMO makes the rig. It looks so much better now, and really helps it stand out, but also unique, which is what I like.

the XR10 wheels are awesome!! They hole really well, and look good. RockDrifter on here is the one that narrowed the back wheels. If there is one draw back to these wheels it is they are not scale or realistic looking in anyway. So I am planning on swapping when funds allow.

The chaotic links are pretty close to all the way in the ends. But there is always going to be tuning to get the tires perfectly straight, and tracking right

Sorry! I somehow missed your comment!

It actually has a lot of flex! Doesnt hit the bumps on the shock tho, but I am going to trim the little mounts on the tray soon to help that out. But no issues with flexing or anything. My only complaint would be the rear all coming up at once (after landing a jump) the servo will hit the chassis before the shock bumps hit.

Thanks Mike! The light bar has been on hold, as I was working on the 1:1 4runner as you saw, but I will be starting again shortly!!

Hope I can make the next race, but not looking likely
