Default Over heating motor with stock gearing!

So I just put in a HH 27t tm. I have the fxr if any one knows about this esc, I'm getting 3 lights blinking. I burnt up a tekin 45 turn hd after about 8 hard hours worth of bashing.

I don't want to burn up the HH motor so after I saw the lights I just stopped running it.

I pretty sure I need to gear down because this thing is soo fast and all I run is a 3s lipo!

So gear it down right?

What side are your ring gears on? If your ring gears are on the side that makes your rig run reversed (motor turns clockwise to go forward) and your motors aren't reversed timed, that could be why your motors are burning up.

Read post #27 in this thread.

why am i burning up motors??

Well it's faster in forward, I can't remember what side my ring gear is on. This is the kit and I pretty sure its what ever the book says. I have it hooked up correct and I don't think anything is backwards.

I just got done running it for 15min kinda hard and had 3 lights but the motor wasn't to hot to hold my fingers on it more that 10-20sec.

I wish I could run stock gearing.
Is anyone else running this setup?
