I put spped control and rx in back. Batterry in front. Used adel clamps and (rustler battery hold down mounts) to make hood open up like a "real" cars. Got the idea from "Chris the battery man" here is a post http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...nged-hood.html |
Hmmm I really want my battery in the back. Im just stumped where to put the ESC. There doesn't seen to be enough space for the rx box and ESC ben.eath the hood |
You should be able to fit it in the stock location upright and across with switch on the left side(looking at front of wraith) with one of the mounts supplied(flat one attached with screw and nut). It barely fits but you should be able to stick your finger in from the side and turn it on and off. I just went back to stock AE-2 and don't have pictures. |
Some pics would be great on how people have them mounted in the front. I have an MMP that does not fit on the plate that came in the kit. It hits the front of the trans case. |
No one has any pics of there naked wraith set up ? Shocking ! Lol |
Battery under the hood. Esc in the passenger seat when it shows up |
3 Attachment(s) I just went to Wally World with my measurements and end up finding a breathmint container for mine. has a flip top, so i can change my FXR settings"thumbsup" on the shock tower, I had to dremel a little...i put a baggy over the shocktower, push the breathmint container on top of it, then I poured silicone on the inside over the plastic bag (shocktower), let dry then cut out the plastice bag.....so simi splash proof Attachment 178904 Attachment 178905 Attachment 178906 not sure how big your xl5 is? but you could do the same thing |
That is a very good set up. Simple, but a very good find . |
