I put spped control and rx in back. Batterry in front. Used adel clamps and (rustler battery hold down mounts) to make hood open up like a "real" cars. Got the idea from "Chris the battery man" here is a post Hinged hood

You should be able to fit it in the stock location upright and across with switch on the left side(looking at front of wraith) with one of the mounts supplied(flat one attached with screw and nut). It barely fits but you should be able to stick your finger in from the side and turn it on and off. I just went back to stock AE-2 and don't have pictures.

Some pics would be great on how people have them mounted in the front. I have an MMP that does not fit on the plate that came in the kit. It hits the front of the trans case.

I just went to Wally World with my measurements and end up finding a breathmint container for mine. has a flip top, so i can change my FXR settings

on the shock tower, I had to dremel a little...i put a baggy over the shocktower, push the breathmint container on top of it, then I poured silicone on the inside over the plastic bag (shocktower), let dry then cut out the plastice bag.....so simi splash proof
