Default electronics box for wraith

Im interested to see if anyone does and what they did to store thier electronics in. I know its common for to leave the rx in the stock box then just mount the esc in random places. Since most people move the battery up front it leaves the back wide open for imo a perfect electronics box. I know the idea of moving the battery up front is to bring the weight over the front axle so the elec box should not be to heavy. So has anyone moved thier esc and rx into one box in the back. If so what did you use?
I saw the box from rc bros but wasnt sure if it would fit.

On my wraith I used a rx box from my lst2 but with the esc and rx in there its to cramped and mounting it isnt really ideal. Any ideas?

thats cool. any pictures? if you say that one is tight maybe the 4x2x1 would be a little better. did you do anything to seal the lid better?
I just sketched a 4x2 box and 2'' seems a tad wide. Does it slide into the old bettery aray area?

It fits between the shock towers with the stock battery tray removed.

Kinda what I'm working on doing. Only I wanted to use the back for scale detail and probably hide the electronics under. How exactly did you mount your battery in front? Im still using the old style 6 cell & i dont see room for it
so im guessing you use the smaller pack

I use smaller 3s lipo's but a full size battery will fit across the back of the under hood area along the firewall.

i picked up one of the 4x2x1 boxes from radio shack. Everything seem to fit ok. My only concern would be the wires being pushed down because they are so close to the lid. I guess we will see how it lasts.

I turned my project box sideways and pushed it as far forward as possible to clear the rear steer. It holds my Tekin RS, BEC, RX, and LED plugs.

Search is your friend.

Zero's Wraith

Or lookup WarTrader's threads. There are a couple of others too.

Here you go.

I use servo extensions so it is all modular.. and everything stays sealed when I want or need to do maintenance.

I used a nipple for water line and then sealed with a balloon so everything stays dry.

And I mount it between the rear shock mounts. I cut a piece of delrin to replace the battery tray and velcro the box in. Check it out in my build thread. WarTrader Does Wraith

That is a slick setup there, i hate having to pull apart Rx box for maintenance. might follow your lead there.

I like it. I went to radio shack and bought both boxes that where 2 inches wide. going to make one for both the Wraith and dingo.

Most of us are relocating our batteries in front of firewall. Stock batt mount fits perfectly

I made a battery mount and a firewall to keep the crud out of the interior. The stock battery mount works great though. I just got tired of cleaning all the mud and muck out of my seats LOL!

I heard that! Mud will fly straight into drivers face - LOL! My battery box turned out to be a good firewall too. I combined it with the half of stock battery mount, and it made pretty solid box.

Also re-did the electronics box so that it is modular now too:
