Default RC noob and just bought a wraith kit

Hey everyone,

I don't know if this is the right place to make an introduction, hopefully it can be moved if it's not. I just bought a new Wraith kit on ebay last night for $250 shipped and I'm looking forward to building a scale crawler that won't bleed me dry like my 1:1 4x4. I've been cruising around this forum for a while and I've found a ton of great information that should help me build my wraith fairly well the first time around for my intended purpose. I just wanted to say whats up and and that I'm looking forward to the build and all kinds of wraith related talk on the forum.

Thanks.

Hello there! If u haven't done so already, read up on Harley's wraith guide for beginners ...then check out everyone's build to see what u like and don't like...then customize from there...good luck and crawl on!

I have a question about radios actually. I don't plan on running a winch or any extras like that so I'm wondering if the oem radio that comes with the RTR is fine when paired up with a good motor, esc, servo and bec. I don't really want to drop $100 bucks on a radio when I could get the same out of a $20 ebay special.
