just stripped the wraith down, as i intend on mounting the xl5 at the back above the battery, when i opened the stock box i had ONE droplet of water in there. not bad for stock with only silicone grease packed around the entrance of the reciever box. still, probably need to look at some other waterproofing method. i love mud an water and there is no way i can stay out lol

After the last G6 I my boys 7&9 asked to run the wraith. I had a fresh lipo so I handed over the controller. Well as I was BSing with my buddies I didnt realize that they headed straight for the playa (sp) mud pit where the spent the entire pack.

Anyways, my point is that the design of the wraith makes it really a PITA to clean. I stripped it all the way down for a thorough cleaning...

man, its bad enough trying to change a battery pack let alone cleaning it. i usually only partially clean when replacing things, unless its caked in shit like in the vid. then its a hose pipe and small brush.

I saw the post said it was an xl5, I'm always amazed at water proof electronics.( Why cant they all be? ) anyway maybe the electrics live but the bearings sure can't like it very well.
