To answer the question regarding the hubs that work for some and for others, not a chance in ....

That is shown with Vp 600 hubs & Vp 1.35" rims. Now, the stock locknut was installed behind it as well the REC warn hub nut. No cutting involved!
It depends on what hubs you use really.

Here's a shot with same stock lock nut behind REC hub nut but with 1" rims with 475 Vp hubs. They do give more threads for scale hub nut but to far my liking.

The bigger the hub size gives you more room to use the stock locknut, which I recommend doing so. The hubs are for the look, not to hold the complete rim secured.
Hope that helps, sorry to post this in your thread. You had asked me earlier about the same questions.

I appreciate the help but I didn't want the hub sticking out that far from the rim.
I know on a 1:1 rig they stick out pretty far but that's with a rim that has a bigger offset. Didn't look right to me.

I was wondering what you were running for shafts. Being you showed us the super shafty mod installed in a Vp case but no word on using it. Now I know you were using stock WB shafts.
We're all in the wait for the right ones to be machined, the extended versions that SuperShafty is currently working on.

Those look like Maxx shafts to me. Which are pretty indestructible if you build them with two female ends and glue a male half into one side.

The outputs are the Crawler Innovations outputs and correct Carter Fab they are the Maxx shafts two different ends one has a fully round side and the other has the two flat ends. CI makes a full kit for this mod.

Yeah I see what your saying buy four females and cut the adapter off the male end and glue it into one of the female ends.
The reason for the twisting was because I originally had the outputs in the transmission flipped. Now I have it the other way because the spur gear would hit the Maxx shaft. I have another set of Maxx shafts on standby and won't have to cut the shaft for the rear.

So I thought I messed up by getting 600 hubs from vanquish seeing how I cut the Vp caliper mounts short for my 475 hubs and then when all was lost I had a vision (coat hanger) that's right they are the same diameter rod. Also I painted the calipers as well.

Also had two very funny people at the base I work at, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis

My bad, so the outputs are from Ci. Once you get it all back together, can you send me the parts list needed to complete this, supershafty keeps saying 5-6 weeks. That was about 3 weeks ago and still he says the same eta. Thanks bud.

That style has been discontinued I believe but he has a new style now. Check his vendor section.

He said he's been waiting on the machinist to make them. There really busy down here in Texas with all this oil and gas drilling and the machinists are making a lot of money making parts. He said of course they have priority over his parts.

Thanks Kyle, LMK when things cool off a bit down there. I'll wait as long as it takes for the right parts. It's not going anywhere soon.
