Default Robinson Racing Steel or Aluminum Transmission Gears

I just realized that I bought the Robinson racing hardened aluminum diff gear instead of the steel one. I also got the steel idler gear. Do you thing the aluminum and steel would work well together, or not? Anybody use the aluminum one? I could kick myself......Ouch, I just kicked myself.
