| Front Shock Mounts
Since I had the X-Band saw out to finish up a rear cargo tray, I decided to make a couple of front shock mounts just for fun. I have a CKRC lowering kit, but did not really want to cut more holes in the hood and because I am using Proline Slash front shocks which are shorter I don't need it any lower than it already is. But I used the CKRC front plate as a template to make my version of custom mounts. It didn't really do much other than move the upper shock mount point forward, a bit higher and slightly more vertical (side to side) Second pic is with the Proline in the stock location, and third pic is it inthe new forward location. Forth pic is a comparison of stock and the new forward location. |

The mounts look nice and clean, but I can not for 1 single reason see why you would want to relocate your shocks to be even more strait up. What is the intention here?

the shocks are more effective that way, with only a slight loss in travel mounts came out clean, nice work |

| Re: Front Shock Mounts Some of you guys running faster motors could probably make good use of this actually, I am just stuck in "Crawler Mode" thinking, which isn't what the Wraith was actually designed for anyway. Looks clean! |

does standing the shocks up (more vertical) give more or less crawlability? (is crawlability a word?)

it reduces travel and makes it more stiff(if using the same oil and springs)

The more they lay down, the more articulation you get and the "softer" the action is given same specs. Standing them up stiffens them up and reduces your articulation. | |
