Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U...go_blk_lrg.jpg

Introducing the NEW

Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-O...1_Main_Pic.gif

Available in Black or White .040" Styrene.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-z...1_Main_Pic.gif

And also available in .030" Clear Lexan.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4..._Main_Top2.gif

We've saved you the time and headache of building your own rear cargo tray,
by making them a one piece drop in, The "Drop Box".

Still allowing you to use your current battery set-up,
after removing your stock battery tray.

(Shown here using a 4000mah 3S Lipo for size reference)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-t...1_Batt_Pic.gif

The New Wraith "Drop Box" also accommodates your "Flip-Mod" rear shock mount mod,
if you have lowered your Wraith's suspension, by clearly noting the holes for trimming.

This allows your shocks to pass thru the rear deck of the "Drop Box" after trimming, for stellar Scale looks!

Here's a couple shots of them mounted and trimmed up.

Ordered my drop boxes on Tuesday January 24th and they were at my house yesterday January 26th when I got home from work. Talk about some fast shipping.. Installed one last night and it looks perfect. I will post pics later today or in the morning.

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

..if I wasn't going to do the 4WS mod, I would purchase one of these...

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

The drop box sits right where the battery tray is. If you run the servo on top of the rear axle there shouldn't be any issues.

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

Maybe a molded in Fuel cell,
for the servo to move up into?

I do not run Rear Steer on the shop Wraith, ...yet.

If this is a common issue that we could address with a version 2,
Please post up, and tell us what other options you would like to see!

YES!!! run rear steer and wouldn't be able to use this because of it. If you made one with a fuel cell that would be killer!

Looking good there bud!
Thanks again for the heads up on the dropped thread during the site mishap!

Don't forget, the mounting holes are marked on the floor of the "Drop Box",
so the zip-ties shouldn't be necessary. But they do look kinda cool.
Post up some more when your all painted up! "thumbsup"

i was having issues with the driver's side of the drop box lifting up so that is why I used the zipties. I might not have trimmed it enough to fit properly but that is why I ordered 2 of them in case I screwed up one.. LOL

Just need to decide what color I am going to paint the new body.

I love this tray. And want one for my wraith. Got all excited and hit the website. $12.50 each. Super price! Setup my account, added to cart and checked out. $25.95 shipping up here to Canada. Dang.............still want one but I have other things I want to do to my Wraith first. Someday...........:)

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

We are aware of the issue of priority only on the website, for US and International.
I have contacted our web guy, and we are working the problem.
Something about USPS changing some things on their end, waiting on our shipping module to update to their new changes.

So, in the mean time, if you would like, we can just send you an invoice directly,
For first class shipping, rather than priority.

If anyone would like to go that route while we work the problem, please send me a pm.
Or contact us directly thru DinkyRC.com.

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

Good to know. Will likely just wait for the website to update. I think my dogs know when I want to buy something as they ate my winter boots last night so the money that would have went to the tray ended up replacing the boots.

Anyone have pictures with the drop shock setup? Just got my drop box and wanted to see others before I cut mine.

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

Craig I cut mine last nite, and the outlines for the shocks are off, plus I think I got a bad formed 1, it doesn't fit at all with the shock part of the frame installed, it looks crooked

Thanks for the pic! That explains alot.

It looks like you have some of the "Level-3" lowering brackets.
The trim lines for shocks to pass thru were not marked for any of the "aftermarket" add-ons, because they are simply not needed.

All you have to do is flip over the stock shock mount frame piece,
and you lower the chassis by 1/2" -3/4".

I will take pics of mine, and post up ASAP!

Please shoot me a pm, and we can see about getting you taken care of with a new one...

Re: Dinky R/C's Wraith "Drop Box" Cargo Tray

I ordered mine a couple days ago and can't wait to get it!!!

Have you thought about forming an Electronics Cargo Drop Box for the front under the hood? It could sit in the engine bay and hold the electronics and could also serve as like an inner fender and keep everything clean up front?!?!?!?!

maybe something with a battery tray and fender wells for under the hood. Heck, you could even get crazy and do a scale motor molded in the tray for a little extra detail. I'd buy one for sure!

This drop box is very, very cool "thumbsup", as I am to receive my new Wraith Kit I was ordering this Drop Box Black, along with a Hood V3 Lexan and a Roof V4 six-pack Black, but when I saw that the Shipping costs were the same as the value of parts...... pay $42.50 for parts and $41.35 plus the costs of customs, over 28% of the total order.... $107.33  .... I gave up .

Too bad that these parts are not available to foreign residents, at least for me.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We are having some issues with our shipping module
In our website, and it won't accept anything but Priority right now.
If you like, we can invoice you directly thru paypal, or,
Many of our Products are most always available thru Ebay.

Thanks for bearing with us thru this issue.

It looks so clean and tidy in one full piece I couldn't bring myself to cut the openings for the shocks so I flipped the mounts back to stock position.
