Pls help: motor plate holes won't fit with tekin motor holes
 

Pla help guys if i did something wrong,
I have tekin redline motor with 15t pinion and 60t spur gear in 32 pitch.
I can't seem to find a clear hole from the motor plate to the motor holes. I tried to rotate the motor also. I know many are using same aetup, so pls help me what to do. Thanks!

Is that combo too large? Try smaller pinion or spur?

I tried that gear combo with a 13t HH motor and it ran hot. Heres the problem your faceing, that I had to deal with myself.
With that gear combo the slots in the motor plate barely work. Once you do get the motor bolted on theres no room to set gear mesh, the slots are not long enough in the motor plate to slide the pinion gear away from the spur gear. When it's all bolted together the gear mesh is pretty much already set. Try bolting the motor on without the pinion already installed and when you go to slide the pinion gear onto the motor shaft you'll see what I mean. Try dropping down to a 12 or 13 tooth pinion and it should go together fine.
I think the mounting holes in the motor are pretty much universal and are the same distance apart no matter which motor you use.I know the Tekin RL motors have the same mounting holes as the HH, traxxas,castle motors cause I've ran them all. Same holes, same distance apart.

will it cool down if ill lower the turns of the spur gear? ill run a tekin rl 13.5t, will it run hot with the 15,60 combo?

First try running it geard 15/60 and see how it does. Your 13.5t is a sensord brushless motor and my HH 13t is brushed. Run it and if it gets hot try going down a tooth or two on the pinion. I totally changed my combo because the fit was so tite everywhere. Now running 56/13 and the truck runs like a bat outta hell but also does well slow for crawling.
Havnt gotten in enough run time yet to check the temps but thats going to change this weekend.

I have the same at 14/60 and it was a really tight fit. You can't adjust the mesh at all. That 60t is a little big, moving to the 50's myself.

I'm rockin a 52/18 with the Tekin SX4 5.5, useing E-Revo spur gears.
Aftermarket motor plates(STRC etc) have longer slots for more gear mesh adjustment as well.

this is what i wanted to buy:
14t pinion and 56t spur gear. but i haven't seen a kimbrough 56t spur gear selling on the net.

so my next option is 13t pinion and 54t spur gear. also did not find in the net selling that kimbrough 54t spur, but i have saw this., will it fit the holes of the sotck slipper clutch of the wraith?

Steel will be very noisy!

I use this spur TowerHobbies.com | DTXC9397 DuraTrax Spur Gear 32P 56T Nitro Evader BX 56/14 on my novak 13.5t. Ill see how hot it gets during the summer, but right now it runs in the 90's if im wipping it around full speed. My LHS carries these spurs and they fit great.

I'm running a 60/15 32p as well per Harley's thread. Although mines not quite running. But yah Mesh is way tight, really no adjustment. Although at first glance, it looks like the Mesh is ok, but then again I haven't run it. I'm running a 25t brushed, so we'll see what happens. I'm curious as to why it's working fine for Harley, because I don't believe he replaced the motor plate, but hot for the rest of you guy's?

Thanks guys for the replies. I already placed order @ towerhobbies. Bought the rrp 13t pinion and the traxxas 54t spur gear. I guess it will be rIght for my 13.5t bl motor and will clear the spur gear cover and aligns the motor plate holes. I hope it will run at normal temp as well. Again thank you all for helping.
