As long as they go to 50* I'd try a set. My Axial U-joints are already developing unsatisfactory slop in the ears.

And why doesn't FLM still make the setscrew type locker? They'd sell a ton of those things, since the only other good ones gotta come from Germany.

I just bought his last 4 lockers.. I'll let him know I would be worth while putting them back in production.. I think maybe he was a little bit Un-discovered.. He lots of cool stuff at great prices, you just don't hear the name in the crawler world.. Over on the Traxxas forum it's known.. That's where I first heard it and tried his products.. I have FLM stub axles on my slash 4x4 and they have been bullet proof.. They were the older U joint style..

Keep in mind its not a "no questions asked" lifetime warranty. Back in my nitro savage days, they refused to replace some alum (yeah hindsight is 20/20) shock towers due to "abuse". They didn't feel they should have bent and broke. I'm not the only one either, it was well known on savage forums. Not sure how the policies are these days.

Hopefully they will be priced decently. I think that he will have a niche on this market if he has a good warranty and a great price. Looking forward to the reviews!

Still waiting on the freaking postal service.. It's been over 12 days since they were shipped to me... Ah, hello Mr. Postman, where are you???
Just took 16 days for my Stormer Hobbies order to get to me.. Whats up with that??
I assure you I'll keep you informed as soon as they arrive.

Whats the weight of these compared to stock universals? Would that shed any light on strength compared to stock?

I can weigh them but I don't have the stock universals to compare to.. Only have stock dog bones.

Well hopefully the materials are high grade. The design doesn't look any beefier at the joint then the universal.

That was my initial thought too.. There really is more room for more beef and I wonder why he chose these exact dimensions. I'm sure it's based on his other axles. I will install them tomorrow and really push them.
I have a 7954sh pushing the steering with custom steel steering rods, so I'll really push the steering angle.
If I'm really nice to my wife she might let me go to the garage to weigh them tonight.. Haha

In for results . . . always nice to have options for such a commonly replaced part!

Stormer took 9 days to get to me to (not their fault I believe). They're 4hrs straight South of me, then USPS ships it to San Fransisco, lol. No wonder duty costs $40 . . .

Also, I have the same crappy Duratrax screw driver(s) and digital scale. Funny.

Just put the new FLM axles in my wraith. I have a few pics and a crappy video showing them in motion.. We got snow here last night and now it's raining so outdoor testing will have to wait.
On the bench, they fit like a glove and are very smooth through their motion and angle. I can't say wether or not steering angle is greater than the Axial Universals as I don't have axial units to compare to. They do steer sharper than the stock dogbones for sure..
I pushed my steering to the limits with my hitec servo and my radio set at 125% EPA (max). They handle it with very little vibration at full lock at full throttle.
Best thing I see is that they can be rebuilt, and I imagine FLM will make each part available for purchase.
I will test them outdoors very soon.

Used lots of loctite and let it setup all night. All installed with lots of synthetic grease
Here's a low quality iPhone video of them moving.
