I'm trying to work out the winch mount up front still. Here is where it is as of now.

I extended the front bumper mounts by about 3/4".

I'm thinking something along these lines for the finished look.

I'm working on trimming that area on the front lower bar down about a 1/8 to get the winch the set level and attaching a plate to the bottom two spacers and the OG holes for the front led buckets.
So, any ideas? Objections?

I think aside from going with a Rogue mount, you're doing it the only way you can. Looks like a good plan. I ran a servo winch from the rear cargo area LOL.

I got it. Check this out.
Ok, so the led buckets I had planned on moving up top. I got them secured by drilling a hole through the buckets and zip-tieing them to the upper mounts with a dab of ShooGoo to keep them in place.

Then I took the bumper I made and sanded out a area on the lower front bar for the winch and made up a bracket out of aluminum. Then I bent the aluminum around the spacers and clamped them down tight. I then glued a small piece of aluminum over the area I notched out. I took my Dremel with a sanding drum and made some wannabe check plate patterns.

I got my holes drilled and screwed down the winch.

Done son. Here she is mounted.

I think it turned out nicely. Its tough, I can pick it up by either the winch or the bumper and shake the sh!t out of it and I get no wobbles or anything. I guess time will tell. Now on to upgrading my TX.

Thumbs up Re: Hoosiers Rubi-Wraith

Awesome build

I really like the winch mount you fabbed up, nice work!

I am sure you get more outside opinions then you want, but here is one more

The center raised section of the hood would look good flat black.
It would tie the black roof and black 1/2 doors all together.
Plus it would just add to the "scale" effect... Gotta help stop the glare from the sun bouncing off that shiny blue hood in to Willy's eyes while crawling

Yes, its cut. I'm using hinges and small posts for it.

I havent got to drive it at all yet. My esc fried during bench testing so Castle is holding it hostage.

I think you're right. It would look better that way. I may just do that.

Yeah, I like the way it looks on Jeeps. The only issue I have is finding another SSZ without spending another $70+ for a set of two. But I may just use a spare cover to avoid having to mess with matching the rim.

I made a scale CB antenna for it out of guitar string. Plus, I got my Warn decal set and scale chain from RPP today. I got them installed along with a small blanket and another strap. I'd like to get a bumper jack for it to mount on the hood eventualy. Thanks for the compliments.

Here's my TX I've been working on. Noone makes a wrap for the GT3B, at least not that I have found. There may be a vendor on here that does, but this will do for now. My buddy Savage had the tire mod done to his, I liked it so much I followed suit.

yeah that extra SSZ plus a hub... ouch. I ended up using an axial beadlock, and I am going to paint it black I think. only my jeeps have a real spare and thats because RPP sold the RC4WD singles.

I'm thinking about making a hard wheel cover that leaves the tire exposed. Then I can paint the cover the body color and use a Jeep logo or my license plate on the back of it. All I'd have to do is place a disc covering the middle of the rim. I would only be out the cost of a tire that way.

TY I cant wait either. Its killing me having to wait for the MMP to come back before I can drive it. I've been working on this for a while and havent gotten to drive it yet.

I'm using the same thing on mine with Dubro hinges and micro screws for a little extra touch.

Here's how I made a scale CB antenna. I bought what I think is a 22, elect guitar string. I took the string and cut off about 7-8 inches from the end with the loop. The I made a little offset to move the antenna out 1/4". I used a small piece of shrink tubing to clean up the look and screwed it in place with a locknut on the backside.

Here's the finished product. You can use a airsoft BB for the little ball on the end of the antenna or do what I did and make one out of shoogoo.

sweet! are you painting the little ball on the end?

remember all those little balls you could get for your car antennas, mean smilley faces, and all sorts of things. that would be pretty cool.

Winch looks good, but you coulda cut out the front of the grill area on the body and just set the winch right there without the frame extensions. Yours looks like a really clean job.

no dig, this one is basicaly a trail rig. Stock gears in the diffs and according to Savox this 1256TG will do 277.7 on Torque(@6.0V oz-in):
I painted the ball on the end red for now. I'm going to track down a airsoft BB to do a smiley. As far as the winch goes, I can only go back so far due to the CMS.
