Took her out today and ran great, need to test on some serious granite slab, but the Losi Pink springs seem good. Today was mostly dirt, sand trails. Got some Wraith vid, but not sure if it came out...here's couple trail pics of Honcho that I tested today too.

Thanks, I thought about it a lot before I started cutting. It really goes good with the JK front bumper, approach and departure angles are so much better.

Here's a nice little vid, should have panned around so that you could see the narrow uphill ridge profile that I crawled but check out my video. Thanks!

Having technical difficulties with photobucket mp4 video, used the embed...any suggestions?

Changed my front lower links to VP ti last night and noticed that my WB is 13 7/8" on driver's (left) side vs 14" even on the passenger (right) side. I don't see anything bent or broken....any suggestions? ANybody else have this? Measured my well used Honcho and it is almost dead on same both sides...wth?

Check the length of the links themselves. Don't you have to assemble them yourself? you've probably got some rod ends screwed on more/less on one side.

Thanks, I did assemble them but always measure them by sticking hex driver shaft through the rod ends at both ends and checking. Any other suggestions?

Nice looking Wraith. I would check the lengths of the rodends just to make sure there all the same. Here are a few pic's of my wraith cage mod. Enjoy.

It sure is a fun rig to drive.

Thanks bud, looks good too. They are fun to drive. Mine is about 1/4" short wheelbase on left sid, the side that diff pumpkins are closest too. Looks like the stock axle housings are bent where they meet the pumpkin, it crawls great so I'll leave it until next axle teardown and then measure the diff housing with a good straight edge.

Another great trip

Forgot to belt kitty into the driver's seat with his zip-tie racing harness, so driverless for this trip.

Put Losi white springs back on front, didn't like pinks little too stiff and ride height to high. Right rear of my chassis is almost snapped in half where the cage side screws to the rear most cross brace. Debating between using stock cage sides and roof with short lexan roof piece in front only, cutting and bending like I've been doing, or cutting rear of cage off and using stock plastic Wraith lower links as the rear cage braces like Harley did as seen here post #115: Harley's $50 Poison Spyder Wraith Budget Build

We are definitely gonna plan to try. Looks like so much fun. Most of us are in our 30's some older but it's just not that big of a scale up here. And when you do travel its for something like max 30 guys. So I have been reading a tone on here and seeing if there are some large events that are not to far from here. It would be nice to go and meet a few people from on here.

Cool, yes it's fun. Most of us are 30s, 40s and some 50s, we always have fun at our small local GTG with anywhere from 6 to 20 crawlers and comps with at least that many. Too bad there aren't more crawlers in your area, maybe you could start a group/comp of your own?

What did you cut your radio shack box with in the previous page?

I carefully measured the amount to cut out, used a carpenter's square and scribed two lines all the way around the box and carefully cut it apart with a coping saw with fine tooth blade. Some Losi thin CA and it was like welding it back together, worked so well on the plastic, it was getting hot as it bonded (which I don't usually notice)

Little more cowbell, little more beef...I didn't have a 5mm bit, so I pulled out the calipers and drilled these out to fit using a #9 bit (0.196") which created the perfect nice snug fit!
