Default Should I bring Wraith on a National Parks driving vacation?

This is sort of a strange question, but I figured I would ask for your opinions.

In July, we are flying out to Denver, renting a car and driving towards Las Vegas. We will be visiting 5 National Parks along the way with camping and lots of park 'n hikes.

We are shipping a bunch of camping gear out ahead of us. I'm wondering if I should stick my Wraith in a box and ship it out there as well. I really enjoy bringing it along on hikes. I know that there are going to be times when I wish I had it, but I wonder if in reality it would be more of a hassle than anything.

What would you do?

You will need to check the rules for each of the parks that you visit. The rules varies between parks but you can find the rules at http://www.nps.gov.

I take my RC with me when camping and have a great time with it.

Make sure to follow the rules and never go off trail. Remember the parks are a public place so in effect you are representing the hobby to the public. If someone complains, I would do something different until they are gone.

Don't forget to share. You may have people, watching that would really like to play too.

Remember to think about how to secure your camping And RC gear. Unfortunately stuff sometimes walks away when you are away or not watching.

With a little planning and consideration of others you should have a great time camping with your RC.

Sounds to me like it would be a blast to take it, but also be a hassle to drag it along. I personally would drag mine along with me.

I take mine camping every year. Its surprising how many people still associate nitro with RC. They see these and can't believe what they are capable of, scale appearance, etc. I've taken them to the dunes, and five or six years ago I was the only one there. Now I rarely go down there and don't see other people running them. Of course, there you can see the 5Bs and the like as well.
