Not to much new on the Wraith. I got a new radio as well. I got a hacked Flysky GT3B with all the goodies. It has the aluminum wheel, 3s upgrade and came with 8 rx's. I have to say for the money they are a pretty nice set up. I am normally not to good with this stuff, so hopefully it won't be to hard to figure out. Lots of readingi guess. I will be switching over as soon as i get the right cable to plug it in with. Here are the few things I've done over the past couple weeks. Got my 5th Baja Claw for the spare. It took me quite a while to buy a single. Also got me a driver. It is a bit tall, but works well enough for me. I replaced the bumper on my traxxas with an RPM bumper and got bored so i did this with the old one. |

They work really good that way. I'm going to be grooving them soon, then they should work even better.

Went crawlin yesterday and really put this HH 27t motor to the test, wow what a thrashing it can take and not even get warm. I broke front and rear lockers, stripped out one of the wheel hexes, and broke one of the wheel hex pins.

Not much new, but I am getting ready to do the 4ws on the wraith. I wasn't to happy with how big and bulky the STRC knucles were, so I went with VP front and rear. Also got a pair of the axle trusses. I've been busy so no time to install yet, but that will come soon.

Got it up and running again. No rear steer yet I still need that rear brace/tow point and a 7950 for the front. The rear is getting the crap ass Savox.

Grooved my 2 front Baja Claws today, and I must say wow. These tires work great when they are grooved. I made it up lines today that I'd never dream of making using the Baja's in their stock form. It also made the tire softer in general and the formed way better to the rocks. Can't wait to groove my 2 rears

It seems that plastic just isn't up to the challange of rock crawling. I have a grand into mine & haven't even put it together yet! It may be better not to buy the kit & just build it from upgrades & some used parts.

Can you show a picture of how you grooved your claws?

Sure. These are the only pics I have right now. I left every other lug solid, then alternated cutting inner and outer lugs, then on the inside did the same but made it so none of the uncut lugs lined up. |

I may groove more but they seem to work really well for me with the terrain around here. It's mostly lime stone.

So even though it's not going to make but a few minutes difference in the run time, I did it anyways. I ran my lights through a switch so I can turn them off for day runs and turn them on when driving at night. I also found a nice little place to put both of the on/off switches so they are concealed. Right underneath the rear deck. |

I had one, solid build but i didn't like the way it looked. It had more of a rescue truck look then a crawler look imo. I would show you a pic.....but it didn't even stay on the rig long enough to get one. If you like the looks though, it is decent quality and fitment.

Not much of a paint and body guy, but I tried. The lines came out rough, the paint leaked under it. It looks like total crap but I didn't just want a plain black deck lid any more. So here it is... I also finally painted the lower tray piece. |
