| Gearing Wraith for crawling
I plan to start builing a Wraith this week. I plan on mostly crawling. I need info on gearing recommendations. What do I need in the transmission and in the front and rear differentials? Thanks for you input.

Go to 32P spur/pinion. For crawling, maybe a 56/13 combo to keep the speeds down a bit. Metal gears in the tranny. One piece locker in the pumpkins. That's a decent start.

I am ramping up for a Wraith build as we speak. As far as Transmission Get RRP replacement gears make that baby bullet proof. Next up are your axles I would recommend since your main objective is Crawling. Get your hands on Axial Underdrive gears 43/13 for the rear axle and get Overdrive gears 36/14 for the front axle. You may want to pick up some Wraith Beef Tubes as well. to add weight down low and extra strength to your axle housings. |

I'm going to ask a dumb question, but I'm new to this. Why do you you run different in the front than you do the rear?

You could always just use a matched set of gears. If I where going to do that I may go with the O/D drive gears front and rear. Maybe even just get a set of Heavy duty Stock gears front and Rear ax30395.
