Default Any thoughts??

I have been looking for what brushless esc to get and now its down between 2 HPI esc's they have available that are the waterproof, drag brake, and programable. Now just need to narrow down between the 2. The vapor is a waterproofed castle SV2 and the Flux reload is a hobby wing I believe. The first link is the vapor the second the Flux, I am leaning towards the vapor but Any feedback would be great. Thanks

I'd vote for the Vapor. Didn't even realize it was available and that it was Castle. As long as it can run the Castle Link software and is waterproof, I'd go with that. I run SV2s in my Wraiths now.

i guess your not wanting slow speed crawlability. i think both those esc's are sensorless, so why not go ahead and get a sidewinder sv2? it's even cheaper than the hpi version.

personally i wouldn't run a sensorless esc. i would go with a mmp or tekin rs. if you NEED waterproofing, just mount the esc in a waterproof box. i do know brushless motors don't really like water, so if your planning on really dunking that thing, you might just wanna stick to brushed motors and cheap one's at that!

I like it, but I'm only running brushed motors with them. I use them with brushless motors in my Rustlers, though. I just like the programming capability and reliability. And my trucks don't get wet. ;)

It'll be nice to see how it works. Be a waterproof alternative to the SV2.
