Default Wraith body alternatives

I am wanting to get a different body for my Wraith and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for bodies that don't req a lot of modding to fit, besides the Dynamic bodies.

Any experiences with the Parma, Tamiya or Pro-line ones?

Wraith body panels

This is what you need. Clay does amazing work and his prices are very reasonable. And he'll customize them anyway you want so that you don't have to if you don't want/know how to and all you have to do is take off the old and put on the new

I've fitted the Proline Cherokee and the Tamiya Bronco to the Wraith with great results. They weren't too hard to pull off but they look good and different from every other Wraith on the trail.
For the Cherokee I cut the body into two pieces, a front and a rear. I had to open the wheel wells to avoid rubbing the tires.

For the Bronco (which I must state I copied from Imthatguy's Blues Mobile Wraith) I cut the body into a front clip, Shoe-Gooed the sides and tailgate into a single piece, and used a regular Wraith roof. The Shoe-Goo is still holding after some serious abuse. The front wheels rub a little on this but I haven't brought myself to lose the Bronco body lines yet.

Man that Bronco looks sweet, I might have to do that for my next body.

Do a search on "Wraith Cage Mod" or "Cage Mod" and youll see a few threads on how the process can be done.

The picture above belongs to Pardonmynoob as he built this rig a while back. Ihave been using it as a basis for my build.

You can cut the cage by using either a PVC pipe cutter (i used this since it was a clean and fast cut) or you can use a dremel with a cutting wheel. I used some plastic weld to cover the cut marks and sanded it down to get then to look as OE as possible, To bend the bars you could use a lighter or a heat gun. Dont over heat ithe bar as you can cause damage to the cage. I decided to have CarterFab make a custom cage insert to add rigitity to the rig. Ill start a thread once I get my custom parts and I start to put my kit back together.
