Default "Ultimate 9"axle housings UPDATED PICS 4/01 post#2

As promised I'm going to give these guys their own thread away from the Titan 60 thread. The Titans are for the Ultra 4, typical crawler based rig. These are aimed at the full on comp trucks from WEROCK, but gonna be these will be slung under a weekend warrior. I'm a scale junky and avid 1:1 wheeler and want my stuff to look as real and perform as real as possible. Since most of the stuff I want isn't being made hardcore enough for my tastes yet, I have to spend some dough and then chop stuff up. I'll take custom and individuality all day.
Based off of the RC4wd Black Widow axles, I will be using the center section(pumpkin) and 3rd member.
Rear axle will be all aluminum with an extreme offset rear diff. Custom 5mm hardened shafts.
The front will be standard offset and will have steel axle tubes, Axial Wraith c hubs and knuckles, and Axial universals.
They will be stock Wraith width hex to hex.
Stock

Showing the offset compared to a centered diff Wraith axle.

The pumpkin looked big and out of scale in stock width. It's actually .200 smaller in height and .300 narrower than a AR60OCP. Will look good all stretched out.

Thanks
Clay

Machined all the OD dimensions and length of the long side tube.

Front tubes are 90% done. These are steel to help with weight distribution.

Front is almost done. Only thing left are the link mounts.
Installed VP c hubs and "?" brand knuckles, Axial Wraith universals.

Well I got the rear lockouts drilled this morning and jus need to send them off to have the links and truss welded on. Oh yeah, and make some rear axles.

Haha. Easy killer. I got the shaft material and aluminum in today for the rear axle. Material for front tubes and universals are sitting here also. I have the house all to myself till Sunday evening so I will hopefully have these knocked out this weekend.
Chassis material will be here tomorrow and "starter kit" will be on its way Monday to you.

Any chance of a rear centered pumpkin with an offset front?

These are for my personal build. I can make whatever you want in whatever format you want. The Titan60 housings I did are like you are talking about.

No sir, not stupid at all. Front will be using stock Axial Wraith universals and the rear is using custom 5mm shafts made by yours truly of course.

My bad. Rear shafts are being made from A2 tight tolerance tool steel. Air hardened. Rockwell C58-C65. Yield strength 100,000psi. It's a much finer grain which makes it a superior quality steel.

Will the 5mm shafts work with the stock housing?
