There are lots of things you need to handle when doing link mounted shocks.if the rod end is mounted at or abOve the center line you get a piss poor performing suspension unless you add "wobble stoppers" to the links. Reason is because of all the degrees of freedom the link and shocks have. The proper method is to mount the shocks below the centerline to make the force of the suspension align the link properly.

P.S. - never convince yourself you know how to do it, you'll never learn anything that way.
Having the shock end below the center line of the link only stabilizes the link under compression. It actually makes the link rotate worse during rebound.

I say make it out of metal so you can bend and weld each sides upper and lower together while still utilizing stock mount locations. Consider using the two truss holes on top instead of the stock upper mount. I think the trailing arm should be able to control axle wrap.

like others have said, it's still a standard 4-link setup but you are increasing the motion ratio on your shocks (more suspension travel for a given shock travel). many many many Ultra4 cars run this setup now.

i used the XR10 shock mounts for my "trailing arm" rear suspension. a few o-rings help resist link wobble and a rear sway bar keeps things in check. so far i'm pretty happy with the performance.

i'l be checking back to see what you come up with

That looks awesome. I would be interested to see how it drives at a fast speed.

Why not build a radius arm and pan hard set up for high speed. With rods in on radius arm the pinion angle would be adjustable and incorporate a shock mount or multiple mounts into the arm. Then a pan hard to control side to axle movement
