I am building Harley's bomb proof trans. I purchased the super shafty top shaft, outputs and Robinson racing slipper. The problem I'm having is the pin to hold the slipper on the shaft is larger than stock and will not fit int the slipper. The instructions on the RR slipper say to use the stock pin. Which is smaller than the pin on the SS. My question is do I file out the slot in the back of the RR slipper to accept the larger SS pin or use the weaker stock pin. Thanks for any help or advice.

We made our Pin so that the RR slipper has to "Press Fit" on our shaft

Simply Tighten the nut all the way down after assembled and crank on it
Then back the nut off to desired position

Best Regards rick

Problem was RR Wraith slipper not RR Slash slipper Rick.

bullit proof tranny question with pics...

I've got 2 of the Slash slipper/beefy top shafts, they work just perfectly.

No bushing running with an abrasive paste (mud) is going to last very long, the drive train load if its heavy/deep mud won't help either.
If that's where/how you wanna run buy a couple sets & cos they're going to be consumables.

Can someone tell me if the Robinson Racing HP Slipper Unit 56T Gen 3 Slash as set out on page 1 works with the stock top shaft?

as far as I know, no it won't. You need the Beefy Top Shaft from Super Shafty here-
WRAITH & AX-10 BEEFY Top Shaft - Super Shafty

Does anybody have any thoughts on the Locked Up Slipper Eliminator vs. Super Shafty Beefy Shaft with RR Slash spur?
Is the slipper a good insurance policy?
I see much more info on the SS/RR slipper than the Eliminator so I would have to assume it is a more popular combo.

I don't own a hot racing tranny, but I'd say the spur and the outputs are not as strong.

Well I'm fine with the spur being not as strong. Because thinking about going plastic anyway. That way that's my week link in drive line.

The biggest issues with those has been bent top shafts and the output through holes being sloppy on some. I haven't seen an output break on them, but I haven't ran with one.
