Your shaft requires using a different slipper assembly than the stock axial correct?

indeed what I thought.
I went with the stock shaft, slipper, & gear, after replacing the bottom & idler with RRP steel. I don't need the full bulletproof (27T brushed 3s max) but I would feel better if all my gears were hardened steel, so its not really worth it to me to get everything else. I would buy a hardened steel gear for the stock shaft or a 1 pc drop in if it ever shows up.
Thanks for a quick response

I bought the proline slash shocks and the DLUX shockends my question is what keeps the shock from floating side to side on the shock ends? Are they supposed to snap in the shock end cap?

I used a small o-ring on each side.

Hey Harley..........

Here's what happens when you run 5mm outPuts on 4S LiPo
with all Steel and aluminum HopUp Parts from Vanquish, MIP and SuperShafty.

there's just not enough Meat around the hole of the 5mm outputs to
take the abuse of the extra power

Thought I'd share...............

6mm Chrome Moly outputs available in 2 weeks or less.........

Regards Rick

All my parts are in, I'll building my trans tonight!

Harley,

Thanks for the amazing guide you've put together here, I'm totally new to RC and crawlers and your write up it's been a ton of help.

Now, on your parts list, the front axle's Axial HD gears link takes me to RPP's page and the set of gears there are 38/13 which I believe is the stock one.
Are you going with 38/13 and 48/13? or 36/14 and 43/13?
Axial's website talks about using 36/14 and 43/13 for UD and OD (look at me throwing lingo around already)
Anyway, the only reason why I'm asking is because I'm still learning and this one got me confused.
Plus, I just got a Wraith Kit and it comes with 38/13 x2 of course but I could start there I guess.
I'm set on a HH TorqueMaster 35t and the BRXL and some of the gearing proposed here.
Thanks a lot!

I run the stock ratio in both the front and rear except in the HD version. Running the mixed ratios in these rigs causes a lot of stress on the pinion bearings and can lead to failure. They are great when crawling but at speed they are tough on things.
