Does the TorqueMaster BR-XL have a built in BEC or do I need to buy the external one?

Pretty sure you'll still want an external BEC.

What are you guys using for 32 pitch spur gears? I can't seem to find something in the 60-64t range.

I'm thinking of replacing the stock motor and esc on the Wraith I just got in trade with the Tekin FX-R esc and Tekin HD 35T motor. I want to have slow crawling with some zippy throttle blips and decent trail riding speed that's not to slow. Would this work with the stock trans gearing? Any help would be appreciated.

How come you don't have 4ws on this build?

Because that really doesn't have much to do with being bulletproof and it's a simple as coping the front axle.

I run this exact setup on my wraith with 3S power geared 12/52 (32p)

It is very versatile, crawls great and is fast. You do need to pay attention to your motor temps and have a completely upgraded drive train, but it's awesome.

Harley
Not much talk about rear axle shafts.. Looking to upgrade from my standard Wraith to Currie axles soon, already have VP lockers. I would like to ensure the tang on the axle shaft is properly secured. What is it that you are using shafts and lockers?

Thanks for all the info.

Most everyone runs the stock shafts. They bend fairly easily but rarely actually fail out on the trail.

Ok, I'm going to order the Super Shafty Bomb proof 6mm complete tranny. I know that I need to buy the 6mm outputs but which MIP's do I get? The ones for AX10 (08101) which are cheaper or the ones for the Wraith (11116)?

You get the AX10 ones then order the 6 mm ends and traxxas pins for them.

Yes get the AX10 version and then purchase the additional 6mm MIP ball ends (2 needed).

Posted on another thread... Can't you bore the 5mm out to 6mm? Those 6mm ball ends are expensive.

They're only $7 each. If you need this transmission in your wraith you must already have a good amount of cash in your wraith. What's another $14? They're one of the cheapest parts I've bought for my wraith.
