Knuckle flange pipe help

So I finally got new knuckles and chubs today after breaking the stock knuckle on the first battery pack. When the knuckle broke I lost one of the flange pipes and the screw. After searching here I was under the impression that knuckles came with all necessary hardware, however, that isn't the case. Without the flange pipe I can't tighten the screw and there is major floppiness in the wheel. I know the LHS won't carry them. I keep breaking parts (or having them be defective out of the box) and haven't even driven through a full battery pack yet, having to wait until funds are available to order a new part. This is my first RC and I'm so frustrated!!! (on the plus side, I have had plenty of time to do cosmetic mods and make accessories) There is a local club drive on Saturday and I would really like to go. There is no way they could be shipped here in time, is there a compatible part from another company that the LHS might carry? Or something from the hardware store that might work? Can I go all MacGyver on it? I was thinking duct tape around the top of the screw and a plastic washer? Help!

Yep, parts tree number AX80018-3. These are plastic replacements and the first ones ZippoMan mentions are metal.
